95 150 specs

Hi,
This is my first post. I hope its in the right place? My son inlaw has my old 95 150. He wants to get a travel treiler. We don't know what the tow rating or gcwr, or gw is. The truck has factory tow package,4x4,ext cab,sb,302,auto. Milage on truck is 125k+. Front hubs replaced and front rotors.Rear brakes all new also. Four new tires and it does not use oil between oil changes. Mobil one since 7500 miles. All I could find was specs for 6 cylinder. 7500 tow rating?

The tow rating is actually more dependent on the final drive ratio than anything else with these trucks.

I have one with a 2.73 gear and it is only rated for 3800 lbs

Look at the driver's side door sticker and find the axle code. Maybe by the time you find that, I or somebody else can come up with the listing of them all.

Oh, you are in the right place. Welcome

Well there are a ton of different axle codes for 3.55, could be anywhere from 3800lbs to 6250. You'll have to know the axle code to know for sure.

Go to myford login, and sign up. You can get the owner's manual in pdf format....
If you can't get the info out of that, I'll borrow someone's book.
Great truck.

Look at the Vehil\cle ID sticker on the door jamb. Under "axle" it should list a code, probably 17, 19 or H9 but there could be others. Please post it.

I called my son inlaw and he checked the door sticker. The code for the rear is 19. Also its a 1996 not a 1995. I had a senior moment :o . It was built in 95 but it is a 96 . So it looks like its 6250. What would be the max hitch weight ? OH he said the truck went through Jersey inspection with no problems and it has 140k now.

I think you may have been off a line. I read it at 3800.
