Champion Plugs
I have read that many of you have had good luck with Champion Spark Plugs. I picked up some today and I dont think they are the ones that everyone was talking about. They are Chapion Copper Plus, RF14LC, for the 4.9. Does Champion has different grades of plugs? It seem that I got a standard plug and not the ones I have read about on here. If these plugs are not the best ones Champion makes would someone let me know?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I wouldnt use those pieces of junk plugs if they were given to me. I put thre good ones, I forgot now, it has been awhile, in my 92 SHO. About a week later it ate a plug. I pulled out the #1 cylinder plug and the center ectrode was gone.
I now use Bosch plugs. I have the Plus4 in my 92 and the work great.

I returned the champions (copper plus) plugs I got and bought Champions Truck plugs. I am sure that I will notice a improvment b/c I have needed to chang my spark plugs for some time now.
I have always bought and liked Motorcrafts plugs but I wanted to try something different. I think the Truck plugs with work just as good as the Motorcrafts. I will let y'all know how I like them.

Champion plugs run best when they are installed on an engine which requires oil added to the gas. Lawnmowers, chainsaws, weedeaters, etc etc.

According to a former GM test engineer the Autolite plugs tested out best. During their tests the Autolites did not suffer a spark flame blowout like the others. I learned about this during a tuning session for my 1973 Corvette. The 'instructor' was the former GM engineer and said he would recommend using Autolites in our Corvettes. Surprised is how we were upon hearing this.
Currently I am running Autolites in my Corvette.

I finally got around to installing my Champion Truck plugs. At the same time I put on Accel wires, coil, cap, and rotor. So, I am not sure how well just changing the spark plugs would have helped the motor. The plugs I pulled out where nasty though. But the truck is running wonderful!!!
