I personally don't feel that either of these two have what it takes to turn this country around in four years, there's just no way anyone could do it IMO. It's going to take a lot more than a change in power or a change in president to get us out of our current situation.

I see Romney winning but I don't see a major change in anything, anytime soon at least.

Obama has done a few good things in his term but he's loosing steam. Too many people have been let down by his "hope" and "change" promises. And if those people show up at the polls simply to vote against him, Romney wins it.

Keep in mind, all of the above is simply my opinion. Not trying to make any claims or tick anyone off

It's going to take a couple of years to get the economy rolling again, no doubt. There's been too much debt created in the last 4 years (1.1 trillion per year). The question is whether the democrats will reach back across the aisle to help make the spending cuts that need to be made once Romney is in office, or will they be obstructionist.

Obama can't even properly program the Obamaphone to block RNC calls. Can you imagine what Obamacare will be like?

I told you he was a failure.

BTW, Virginia will be going ROMNEY/RYAN this time.

Are you asking, "Will they act like Republicans (the party of NO)?"

Regardless of who wins, the President is not a dictator. He really does not have the power that is often ascribed to him.

Dirt Bike, I think Virginia is going to go to President Obama. (We'll find out soon, won't we?)

Jack is always repeating the Demoncratic talking points.

It's better to be the party of no, instead of the party of yes for "free stuff" for the "free stuff" crowd. There just isn't enough money for the producers to pay for the free loaders. Never has been. Never will be.

Rasmussen's final poll shows Romney up 50% to 48% in VA.

They point out (and I agree) that if Romney fails in VA, he will probably not win the election.

I think Romney will take VA by at least 3%.

IMO, the pollsters are routinely under-estimating the enthusiasm of the anti-Obama/Pro Romney voter and way over-estimating the enthusiasm of the Obama voter.

This isn't 2008, and Romney is not McCain (or Bush, either). Obama is going down.

What is the breakdown of D to R in that VA poll?

At a glance I could not find that, but it is probably in the details somewhere.

Here is the link: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/publ...inia_president

The poll shows Romney has a big lead among likely Virgnia voters who do not affiliate with either the Dem or Repub parties. That bodes very well for Romney if it carries out nationwide (it will).

I wish more voters (including you) were aware that the King of 'NO' is Harry Reid (D- Nev).

Reid is abusing his power and preventing House bills from being heard in the Senate.

If the rolls were reversed, you would be screaming bloody murder.

Of course, if you were well informed beyond the pap fed to you by the MSM, you would already know about Reid's actual obstructionism. It's just a bit worse than the fake obstructionism the MSM accuses Repubs of, based on one remark made by Mitch McConnell.

Oh, and if you don't believe Harry Reid could be an obstructionist, here he is in his own words, refusing to work with Romney just 5 days before the election:

Just a minor point here. Everyone DOES understand that Rasmussen's polls are always slanted in favor of the GOP, don't they? Why would you reference a poll that only tells you what you want to hear? You can bet the Romney camp doesn't.

Frank, do I understand you think the President IS a dictator? Is the opinion that he is not, a "Democratic talking point"? It certainly can't be the characterization of the GOP as the "party of NO". That was a stated goal of the Republican leadership. Don't you remember?

Says who, Nate Silver?

Perhaps the Dems and their media sychophants have an axe to grind with Rasmussen, as he was the first to poll that Obama's popularity and approval ratings were falling.

Not many polls predicted the 2010 Dem massacre, if I recall.

Here's what's going down: In 2008, many Repubs, evangelicals and true conservatives stayed home because McCain was not appealing. Young voters and minority voters turned out in record numbers to elect the first African American president. Many 'blue dog' or 'Regan' democrats voted Obama.

For 2012, lots of Dems will vote Romney. The Repubs and evangelicals are fired up. The students and minorities are much less energized.

It's going to be 2010 all over again, not 2008.

I just punched the phrase "most accurate election poll in 2008" into Bing. The results on the first page showed that Rasmussen was the closest every link I opened. After 5 or 6 that all had the same answer I figured the trend had been set. Is the truth biased or just not have the same slant as the others?
