I just put the DJM arms this weekend but I will be pulling them off when my modified stock arms are finished. They should be done this week and installed soon after. The djm arms are all yours after that.

I always wanted to do that, weld some extensions on the stock arms for a cheap drop but worried about strength welding to cast aluminum.

How are you modifying them?

Also flipping the balljoint would give a decent drop

welding the strut mount 1 1/2" higher than stock.

SLW-SVT PM me when you have them off. Also post pics of the way you do the stock arms. I want to do the same on the navigator.

hmmm higher is going to lift the truck, unless you are looking at them upside down

Correct! The problem with these air struts is that they don't offer any lift. The recommended ride height is like 95psi but with the stock arms you have to go 120-130 to get to ride height. The dim arms made it even worse by mounting the struts 2" lower. Now I have to max out the bag at 150 psi (150psi max system) to get to ride height. So by mounting the location an 1.5" higher than stock I should be bringing my ride psi down below 100psi and I will probably be able to lift the truck all the way to stock height when necessary. And if it's too high I can always use even less psi. I'd like my ride height to look like I have a 4/6 drop or more.

I guess I just don't understand how you will have a lower ride height if you are raising the lower strut mount. I realize that will effectively lower your psi at ride height but it will also raise your aired out height.

I see what your getting at but I think that it will be fine. My jack was maxed out here. my fender liner is the limiting factor.

Yeah you could be tucked up in there nicely with those liners removed, mine have been gone for about 60,000 miles

Expedition 4x4,

You might try T S S ,they are a supplier here. I just bought complete kit from them. Price was right & Bell Tech products are 1st class. Easy install, did all front & rear by myself. Good luck
