That satellite receiver you have there. Will i need anything like factory connectors antenna ect ect. And the ipod interface also. I have the Audiophile Head Unit and harness. My truck is a 06 remember

 

I have heard that you can use any sirrus antenna with the factory box. The harness is integrated into the middle plug on the back of the radio.

The ipod harness plugs in between the radio and the factory harness and does not work with the sat radio. That's why I yanked it out, you can only use one or the other, not both. Besides, I see no reason to pay for something that has been broadcast for free for almost a hundred years.

 

Does the HU have the chrome control *****? And do you still have it?

 

The 08's are the ones that came with the chrome *****, mine is an 07.

Interested in the Ipod interface. What brand is it?

 

Peripheral, I bought it at best buy two years ago.

 

I guess I should have also asked if it's the type that utilizes the factory stereo to browse through your music on the ipod or do you have to still use the ipod to navigate through your music?

 

It plugs into the factory radio and you use the radio buttons to control the ipod. I still have the card with the use instructions and it goes with the unit to the buyer.

 

I just checked out thier web site and I don't think this is what I'm looking for. I want my ipod play list to be displayed on my navi unit and my ipod to be plugged in and stored in my glove box.

would you be willing to get the factory sub wiring out from the rear all the way to upfront where it plugs into the unit?

 

I already butchered the sub harness, I cut off the sub end and sold the plug with the amp.

 

Sold the audiophile amp and the factory sirrus box.
