I REALLY don't see how you had traction to pull him out. Do you have a winch? Even then it would be mighty difficult. I really wish I could have seen that. Anyways, here is a pic of my buddy's Blazer that got stuck, I couldn't pull him out with my '02 5.4L 4x2 F-150, so he called his dad w/a Bronco and got him YANKED (incredibly roughly, he floored it and was attached to his frame and the bronco's hitch), and pulled him out, it took 2 of those. We dug for hours, almost gave up and called a tow truck :P Anyone with a 4x4 live in Manteca?!

Anyone going to be out to the OBX Labor Day weekend?
We and the in-laws rented a beach house in Nags Head Sep 2-9. I'll be out there all week and definitely doing some off roading and surf fishing.

I usually go up to corolla where rt.12 ends, get out on the beach and just drive for miles, but not sure whether I have seen these trails. I have seen the beach access only houses. Are these trails behind the dunes? If I am out on the beach and I cut up through one of the roads leading to the beach houses will I see the trails?

Oregon Inlet is some seriously deep chit. The path leading from the road to the beach is no joke. I always see people getting stuck.
