2003 f150 4x4 ex cab. I hate fords limited slip.
whats are all your thoughts on aftermarket diffs? whos running them and how much do you like them? did you do the front end too? my 4 wheel drive = to one wheel spining in back, and one in front. what kind of traction do you get from that?... errrr..... wisconsin roads in winter are crap, and then i need to go off road. i still want to be able to make turns.

Ford's LS is about the same as every one elses, it's comprised of clutches that wear. I've had GM and Chrysler LS, no better, no worse.
Sounds like yours isn't LS though, means you have two open diffs.
Only the driver can adapt to conditions (which include vehicle, roadway, weather) and learn from experiences and then apply the lessons learned. Driving in slick stuff now is ... if anything ... easier than it was 40 years ago when I started driving on roadways. You have to pick your path carefully, and learn that a heavy throttle foot is a sure recipe for getting STUCK.
