Seal leaking on rear end.

I believe the seal where my drive shaft connect to on the rear end has gone out. I don't know what seal you call it. The trucks a 2007 and only has 15k miles. Is this normal? I was passing by my truck today and noticed that there was oil all underneath of my truck on the rear end and under the bed of my truck. I'm running 37's. Would this have anything to do with it?

pinion seal.... Ford absolutely SUCKS at sealing axles and pinions. I have seen axle seals pissing on trucks with less than 10k

So this is something normal and no need to think I need to go change my gears asap? I eventually will, but don't have the extra $$ at the moment. I have a neighbor who's a mechanic at a chevy dealership and he told me it could be becuase my truck sits all week long and that seal may be sticking to the shaft which when it turns tears it some. I only use my truck on weekends so sometimes I'll go 2 weeks before moving it. Will my warranty cover this?

I scheduled an appt. to bring my truck in to the dealership to get it serviced on Monday. Hopefully they don't tell me it's not covered b/c my truck is lifted. I'm pretty sure it's the pinion seal. I stuck my finger in the the fill hole on the rear end and didn't feel much oil. I'm going to put some in so I can make it to the dealership. I know 75w140 is the required oil. If the local auto stores carry Royal Purple then I'll get that, but if not what would be another good brand to go with?

I ended up getting Mobil 1. I will put it just to make sure there's some still in there to make it to the dealership. I know people who've had that seal go out, but don't know if it's leaked as bad as mine. Maybe it has been leaking a while and I just didn't notice until it got really bad.

Believe it or not, Walmart has 75W140 full synthetic Supertech if you want to save money.

Thanks man. Warranty won't cover it b/c it's very obvious that the pinion angle is to much. They told me that if I got my axle shimed then brought it back they could probably help me out. Right now I'm trying to see what degree shim I need. I'm thinking a 4 degree shim.????
