Door panel Hydro Dipping

Not sure if this is the best place to post, but I finished up a project this weekend.

I wanted to change up the look of the interior without going nuts. I decided that I would paint the speaker grills black and then pulled out some of the panel pieces, painted them blue (to match the exterior paint) and then hydro-dipped them with a "motor/turbos" pattern.

Let me know what you think, I'm very happy with the outcome and will look at doing the stereo surround and console around the shifter next.

I also put on Recon Tails, LED light brake strip across the back, LED bed lights and auto tail-gate lock this weekend.

Wow that looks sick. I wish someone could come up with a Harley logo pattern to use for hydro dipping. I got some parts. Where did you buy the LED bed lights?

Thanks guys, I like it a lot.

LED lights are just the waterproof strip lights off of Ebay. Really cheap, I think a 15ft roll was $12 or something.

pretty much these, I picked "cool white" and "5050-300"

I was able to get the surround dipped and clear-coated. Now I'll wait for it to cure a bit before I polish and re-install.

I have them wired into the cargo light and a switch. I ran a trigger wire into the cab connecting to the cargo lights. I have a 8 gauge power wire running to the back of the truck as the main power and then a relay triggered by either a switch in the bed or the cargo lights.

The 8ga power wire will also be source power for a weatherproof 12v/USB power point in the rear of the bed. This way I can charge whatever in the bed and have a switch for the lights when I'm camping with my truck tent.

I may install a power distribution/relay box in the back and use the power for some other ideas like reverse lights.

I hope to get the stereo surround in this weekend.

Finally, some results! I was able to get the surround installed today. The bottom piece...well I kinda messed that one up. I went clear coat it and grabbed a can of WHITE paint that I slapped a clear-coat lid on :uugly: dumb, dumb, dumb. So I re-painted it and now have to find some time to dip it.
