There are 4 10mm bolts that hold the L-brackets from the grill to the hood. Remove those and the grill will be off your truck.

There are 6 more 10mm bolts along the top edge of the grille for a total of 10 counting the L bracket bolts.

ok well answer me this. I got a aftermarket grill for my truck and it has 3 threaded holes on top and 3 on bottom. Does this make sense?

I stand corrected. I overlooked those 6 bolts, it's only been 2 years since I took my grill off to paint it.

Pics would help. Is it an overlay or something in which it might use those threaded holes to attach it to the grille?

Sounds like what you have is an insert. You will have to take the grill off the remove either by cutting or popping out the insert of the OE grill. I suggest though that you find instructions for the replacement grill. It should have all the info you need.

Sorry, but without more info, no one here can help. Pics of the item would be nice, or a link to it.

It looks like the type that would require the cutting out or removal of the part of the OE grille, but cannot say for sure. Might want to try doing some searches on RDX billet grilles as that is who it says makes them. Without instructions, it is very tough to say what has to be done. That is definitely not a full replacement, which still leaves 3 options. Bolt over, remove insert, or cut out partial insert.

If you have to cut it use a dremmel. If you dont have one go get one.
