I have. Bought my pre-cut kit from Northern Tint & Graphics Co. in 2008 for $49, still looks fantastic. I'm a master with applying decals and graphics so tinting is easy for me.

Only the crap off the self. Buy a Northern Tint & Graphics pre-cut set and know how to work with tint, you'll save alot of money for the same effect. I love my kit, $49 for 20% all around.
There is a dealership right by me that has the same exact truck as you. Litterly 20% tint, Same exhaust exit, leveling kit, Toyo M/T's, and Monsters. I almost **** myself when I saw it, thought it was yours. They want 18K for it, has 115k on it.

Just failed my State Inspection for the first time due to illegal tint.

His meter read 15.1 and 16.4 and the legal limit in NC is 32%. I'm going to have to try and few quick things to pass... worst case scenario: I'll simply remove the windows and take it back. Nothing says you must have windows to pass, and if I have no windows, there's no way they can fail me for tint.

You should have rolled them down and pulled the fuse and say they're broken haha

I just tried that because it's cold out and I didn't want to waste the time removing the windows unless I absolutely had to. So I rolled both front windows down, then just popped the window plate and unplugged the switches for the windows on both sides.

I took it to Jiffy Lube and the dude come over and says he doesn't think he can pass the truck because the windows won't come up and he "has suspicions that the front windows might have illegal tint on them."

I told him they were broke and don't come up, so he said he can't inspect it. Then I asked him if I physically removed the windows what would happen and he just shrugged and said, "good luck at the next shop."

I'm going to physically remove them and take the truck back to the place that originally gave me the failed inspection and tell them that I just won't be driving the truck with windows for the next year. What a PITA.

Find a buddy to inspect it. All my guy does is hooks it up to the computer and if it checks out everything else is good ;D

I don't have a buddy who does inspections as I do the vast majority of the work on the truck myself. If I did, I would have done that in the first place and been good.

It passed the computer hookup / emissions test and all the required safety stuff except the tint is too dark.

Our problem is here in NC you can't get your registration or plates renewed without an up-to-date inspection.

That's where it can start getting real expensive real quick.

I have 35% on all sides. and 20% on the back privacy, but 35% on the front windshield. FHP got me the same week I had it put on. Just a warning, though

hey bud i have a 50 on my windshield. i'm thinking the tint didnt stick good on one corner so im taking it to my friend that does all my windows to check it out today. but he uses suntek tint and he either does 50 or 30 on windshields. and just outta curiosity, how bad is 30-35 at night. i know 50 is about perfect but im thinking i can always go darker. my sides are 30 on top of 5 and my back is 5 on top of the privacy class so theres no seeing through it much less in it. i live in NE oklahoma and i have never even been questioned about my tint, stared at by the hi-po's but never been pulled over. if i have to have the front redone i'll probably do it 30. i just dont want to be squinting at night, i do have hid projectors though so that should help

With my 35% I don't squint, but it does make it pretty difficult to see far down. My friend has 50% and put side-by-side, you can see a difference but if you've already got it, its not worth pulling it and paying to have 35% put on.

well the guy that does mine charges like 40 so its not to expensive. and the reason i asked was because it had some tiny air bubbles in the corner and im picky so i couldnt take it. lol but he looked at and broke out the heat gun and got it looking good so im not worried about it now. i shoulda just done 30 to begin with but i was skeptic, espicially with how dark all my other windows are. we post on pretty much all the same threads. lol
