i really hope it doesnt. hopefully it wont be too much if it does tho. True about the paint, but i think anything is better than the shape that its in now. Although a few months ago i got a quote from one of the best body shops in S. TX for around 4k for a factory quality paintjob and 5k for a show quality one and both would include taking all the body panels down to bare metal and disassembling almost the whole truck. wish i could afford that ha

Tell the females if you cant fit in the door to keep walking. No FAT chicks allowed. If they ask whats wrong with the door tell em its a waist measurement tool.

A lot will depend on the condition of the paint on the rest of your truck. If it has spent all of the time outside and gotten faded in the sun then you can argue that the paint has to match the rest of the truck when it's done. I won that battle on an old Buick I had that had experienced the rath of a hail storm. They just wanted to paint the top flat surfaces but I took my stand and got the entire car repainted.

Good luck. I would think your brother-in-law ought to at least cough up your deductable.

eh insurance guy was a ****. i pointed out many obvious things that were wrong and he just waved them off.

whatever.

got 193 from ins and 500 from my deductible. and my body guy said he needed 650 to fix the door and fender so hes cool with it.

gonna be getting a couple extra things done
not giving away everything yet.

but how do yall think my whole mirror would look smoothed and painted?
he said he'd spray them for free if i sanded em.

shaved fenders?

i think you can pull off the full painted mirror look since you have a black truck, but sometimes they look overwhelming on other colors
