I have been on a painting rampage the last couple of weeks...So I painted my windshield cowling last week and today I painted my rear bumper cover it was faded and I wanted it to be a deep flat black once again...

Materials I used:
1.) 150 grit sandpaper
2.) Masking Tape
3.) newspaper
4.) Matte Black Krylon Fusion Paint for Plastic & Mask
5.) I used a little bit of Truck Bed Coating on the last spray just to give it some tread...not loving it but it is not slick
6.) Screwdriver for License Plate
7.)Prybar to put masking tape under the cover

I first masked off truck to prevent any paint getting where I don't want to get it. I then sanded whole cover down with 150 grit paper (only sandpaper I had, it wasn't too course though) .. I then wiped it down with wax & grease remover to clean it up. I then let it dry off and painted the first coat very light and then the second coat even coverage all over the cover. I let it dry then put a little bit of the truck bed coating on the top part so it isn't slick.

Dry Time in between coats: 10 minutes
Total time: a/b 2 hours

I am thinking about doing that I ran out of time because it started to mist ran when I was finishing up so I decided to leave it where it is I just don't want it to be shiny @ all I am going for matte black on all my stuff I am painting

Looks good maybe use some matte clear coat to get some extra protection. Just wondering how well it will hold up to everyday use and such ive been wanting to do this for a while just worried it will chip off after some loads of gravel scrap against it...

yeah the dupli-color bed coating was a bad idea it is peeling up a little bit. I can just peel it up like rubber pieces. I have not been impressed about that stuff at all its not that big of a deal right now I am just gonna peel it off the Krylon paint looks better anyways and I am going to matte clear it next week on my day off
