Question new windsheild?

Any body know how much a new windsheild go for on a 2008 f150 supercrew?
and should i go thru my ford dealer? i got a nice crack in it. long story

my 05 would have $250 with ford decal in center if we didn't have insurance, $150 without decal

ok..in the middle of my windsheild, top center, it says f150. did you go thru the dealer?

No I went thru a local auto glass shop, yeah the f150 is what I was talking about

an extra $100 just for the decal. thats funny..did you ever have problems with it leaking??

Yeah thats what I thought a hundred for the decal but with insurance I only paid a hundred for the whole thing, and no I never had any issues with leaking just a big rock chip

i know i dont have glass insurance, is that what you had?

No it fall somehow under something like act of god so we only had to pay 100, i know it sounds funny but thats what the insurance company said so I didn't argue

lol..no.. we were putting up x-mas decorations today. and the extension ladder we had wasnt long enough. so we usually put the ladder in the bed of the truck. therefore the truck was right in fron of the house. so my father had the drill on the roof. so as he went to pick up the cordless drill, the battery pack wasnt locked in the bottom and it fell right outa the drill on to my windsheild. it was about a 25 foot drop. i didnt get a chance to take pictures but i will when i get a chance. its funny cuz the battery pack landed right where the rearview mirror is...

if you take it to the dealership they're probably gonna call the glass company to come do it. my friend has an auto glass replacement business and all the local dealerships and body shops get him to do their work. for an 08 f150 i think he charges $225 installed w/o the logo and $325 with the logo.

thats exactly what my father was saying. it would of cost alot more to fix...
