Will 06-08 Front bumper fit on a 2005?

Hey Everyone. I was wondering if anyone knows if a 2006-08 front bumper will fit on a 2005? If it would, is it a direct replacement or would I have to get all the brackets and upper/lower bumper plastics. Also I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a replacement lock for the spare tire opening on the rear bumper? It didn't have one on my truck when I bought it and I have a bad feeling that the dealer is going to be expensive for one. Could have one just rekeyed to my truck? Thanks.

No. It's not a direct fit. The front bumpers were redesigned in 2006. Get an '04 - '05 bumper for your truck. Not an '06 - '08.

You need the 06-08 hardware (brackets) for the 06-08 bumper to fit on an 04-05

You will also need to replace the upper urethane bumper and the hood stops in order to use the other bumper. All of the brackets, etc. will bolt into existing holes.

Was true when I went from an 06 bumper to the older style 05. Not true if you reverse years? Wasn't even close to mounting in the same center bracket holes.

I like the looks of the 06-08 driving lights. If I decided to go with blacking out my bumpers, I would like to upgrade it to the 06-08. That would be great if the upper plastic bumper would match up to the newer bumper.
On the spare wheel lock, I know that it is keyed to my ignition but the problem is that it is missing. It was never on the bumper when I bought the truck. I didn't know this at the time I bought the cap. I just thought it was going to be a plug of some sort. After getting it, I checked a friends at work and that is when I discovered that is was a lock.
