Undercarriage protection

I was thinking about using some of that rubberized spray. What parts should I spray and what should I not spray? I was assuming just doing the frame, axle, inside rockers, wheel wells, anything else? Thanks.

DO NOT spray the driveshaft(s). you will throw its balance off, and your truck will shake like hell on the highway.

everything else should be ok. just use common sense.

Cool. Thanks, yeah, I figured any parts like that should not be coated. What about painting though? I do not have a speck of rust under there and I want to take the steps to keep it that way. I'm also not trying to be lazy - I wash my truck (especially the underside) once to twice a week.

Your frame, axle, and under body metal of the bed/cab should be alright. My driveshaft is very rusted. If I was to paint it i would just lightly scratch it up with sandpaper, and spray can paint it with what 4wd used.

Dont worry about the overspray... I would paint the undercarriage before i was to do a full detail so I would clay the entire truck which would remove any and all over spray!

undercarriage protection

I'm going to be in the process of putting a different box and rocker panels on my 1997 F150 soon. When I'm finished I am going to have Zeibart spray the whole thing. The crap to use to deice Illinois roads turned almost everything a nice burnt orange color underneath, let alone eat the metal away. Ziebart wants like $240-$280 to do it, may not cure it but can't hurt (I hope)
