Unhappy A.R.E. Z Series Cap color mismatch

Anyone else disappointed in the color match with the A.R.E. Z SERIES CAP. I have a WHITE 2001 SCrew and recently installed a WHITE cap. I had sent it back once for repaint with gas cap lid but it's still not quite right. The white on the cap is a bit grayer or offwhite. It really looks bad in the sun. Not quite sure what I'll do from this point. Maybe I'll try a body shop.

I have the same problem with the Leer 100XL I got a month ago. Mine is also Oxford White, but the shell has a slight pale (yellowish) white color to it. It's only noticable in direct sunlight. Good luck.

Me three!! Mine is silver though.

However, I was forewarned when I put the deposit for mine. I think it makes me feel better when people are straight forward with me, as opposed to have to find out after I have paid in full for it. It doesn't bug me that much after all...

Came from Wings West, 395 plus shipping, plus paint, plus fog lights, I installed it myself. About 600 bucks total.

Alf, every time that I see you truck, I like it better. You did a terrific job of re-styling a uniquely awesome F-150. I have seen few that I like as well!

Well, thanks for the compliment nolimits. I am very happy with the truck so far. By the way, where is Raeford? I lived in Raleigh for 7 or 8 years. Just moved to Montgomery.

Raeford borders Fort Bragg where I do that Army-of-one thing. Where in that list of addresses is Melmac from?

The nickname comes from that 80s show about a furry alien that lands in some family's backyard. Remember? Well, my real name is Alfonso and since I loved that show, Alf from Melmac...

Add my name to the "not quite a match" crowd. I have a white SnugTop XV, which I otherwise really like. I can only notice the color difference under certain lighting conditions, so I guess I can live with it. I may be the only one that notices.

I have to say my Oxford White ARE Z series cap matches really well. I figured the Oxford white would be about the easiest match
