E3 Spark Plugs

ok so not to highjack the post (ill start another post if need be) but it turns out the truck is still acting up when cold... it shakes hard,... hard enough for the headers and and exhaust pipe rattle and hit the frame rails. it only does this under about 1800 rpm and below about 175 degrees.

Don't know what to tell you other than check everything again. Could be one of the new COP's is bad, but that should throw a code up. Worse case scenario, put the Motorcraft plugs back in and try it (or some known good coils). I do know even one coil or plug not firing will shake like (you know what). Best of luck and keep us posted.

I am curious to see if this has anything to do with the mix of the e3's and a gryphon. Maybe flash the truck to stock and then drive it around to check that out. If not, do as Sam said and re-check everything sense you have isolated to that timeline.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Coil #8 is bad.
But, I'm not sure what his plan is yet. He didn't include what he was going to do.

ok, so to update, i replaced coil #8 and 4 others with some original coils and it still didnt fix it, the problem was the plugs themselves..... yall can check my thread in the V8 section to see the whole problem and pics of what happened. I am going to start writing emails and making calls and see if i can get my money back for the defective plugs.

so looking around on e3's website. they dont provide an email address or phone number, and most if not all of their plugs have a warranty.... except for 3.70... ok so i emailed e3, and a rep. called me within 15min of the email. He then sent me a warranty form and told me that it did sound like the plug was at fault and if i can provide him with the plugs and recipte then he would refund me, if not then all they can do is replace them. So even though the plugs are faulty at least the customer service is good.

Sam,
Were all your plugs still intact? Or was the porcelain loose too??
Thomabo,
I'm glad to hear that they are willing to work with you. I ordered 8 of their plugs about 2 weeks ago. I have them sitting in my garage, waiting. I think I am going to try them still with Original COPs and see how they are.
Speaking of which, are you going to be using your Global COPs still? or all Motorcraft??

poolboy.....all of the plugs were intact when I pulled them out...I was starting to get a slight roughness when idling, then I have been keeping up with Thomabo's problems and decided to check mine, was going to put them back, but had some new SP-515 on the bench and went back with those and in the process installed the weapon-x COP's with them. Real "seat of the pants" change so far, and the roughness went away. It might have been just me, but I never had a real 'warm and fuzzy' feeling with the E3's. It's too bad..we need a good quality one-piece plug from Motorcraft !!!

Like I said, I think I'm going to try them. But will in no way endorse them.
What is the difference between 507's and 515's?
I take it that you like your Weapon-x's lol.
