ok, it is done... started the truck and it was shaking and acting like a bad misfire but it never threw a code, after a min or two the truck idled normally. and for those of you keeping track, i drove it around the block and it acted like a bad doa coil at first but after it warmed up it went away.... so as of now i believe all 8 coils from global are working

I will respectfully dis-agree with you on this one !!!! The A/F mixture will change with these plugs, and the OP installed all new COPs...a re-set of the KAM will never hurt anything......end of controversy.

ok so not to highjack the post (ill start another post if need be) but it turns out the truck is still acting up when cold... it shakes hard,... hard enough for the headers and and exhaust pipe rattle and hit the frame rails. it only does this under about 1800 rpm and below about 175 degrees.

well it sounds like you guys with the newer trucks like these plugs. I think in the near future I will try them in my 90 and see what happens. I think what ill do is fill both tanks. run one out, fill with exactly 10 gallons, run it out. change plugs to e3's put in another 10 gallons and post results. I do a mix of about 50% highway and 50% city driving so I guess it would be a real world test. ill let ya know.
