Put a set of E3s in a couple of months ago. Saw a difference right off the bat. Love them everytime I start the truck.

You should unhook the neg side of the batt for a few minutes to reset the KAM. The ECU has to re-set itself to the change in parts, then you will be good to go.

Not a lot as I have only a couple of 30 mile trips a week to do. All others r just a few miles which used to show on the stock plugs. Now I'm running E85 and they work great.

I'm getting another mile to the gallon and I put another 5 degrees of spark in so far.

Thats good to know. Just leave it off for like 10 min or so you think?

Mr. Sam!

There is no relation to a KAM reset and ignition components ... there is no adaptive dependency.

It's far more likley it was the solvent remaining in the cylinders causing this ...

I will respectfully dis-agree with you on this one !!!! The A/F mixture will change with these plugs, and the OP installed all new COPs...a re-set of the KAM will never hurt anything......end of controversy.

Sam - that is simply not possible.

ok so not to highjack the post (ill start another post if need be) but it turns out the truck is still acting up when cold... it shakes hard,... hard enough for the headers and and exhaust pipe rattle and hit the frame rails. it only does this under about 1800 rpm and below about 175 degrees.

I don't think you want to do this - it's my understanding that the 302 runs best with the old school Motorcraft or Autolite copper plugs.
