I would consider that but:

1: I still have my stock hood up in my attic so I can do it on my own hood and sell this one instead.

2: Despite having a stock hood to chop up I still would trade any of you guys but none of you are around the corner of me. I hate mailing letters let alone a hood.

3: The fiberglass hood is easier to cut up and work with.

Sooner than later, I thinking of doing a single rib design instead of the double rib design. I'll do the the rib design first before I cut into the hood. I'll probably start the project sometime this week.

Meh, GO BIG, OR GO HOME! haha, glad you stopped, that little drop might have hurt a tad. Post some pics after you get it done, I think it'll look pretty cool!

Hoodless

Try wheelin with no hood, note how much visability you have. concaving it may not gain anything except a funnel to fill your motor with water . I had a brand new motor get hydrolocked after a substantial rain storm with a stock jeep cj 7 hood . water dripped through the footman loop on the center of the hood to the center of my air cleaner wich was slightly concave from over tightening the aircleaner nut. I got up in the morning suspected nothing and turned the key. BAMM , a couple bent connecting rods a few afternoons doing the remove /replace , and the rebuild cost added up to a costly repair. Just keep in mind where water will go. Good luck J.B.

Even if it's concave you'll still have the front of the hood to look over.

OK Ladies and Gentlemen, today I finally got the materials I'll be needing to create, ............I have no idea what will come out of this hood but I'm confident enough it will turn out great; I'll let you guys be the judges.

I got my Styrofoam, Liquid Bondo and Fiberglass cloth.

1 1/2" thick Styrofoam.

I then decided to mess with my stock hood instead of the Ram Air hood. So I had one of my workers bring down the hood which I had stored up in the attic.

I then marked where I wanted to cut it, you can barely see the red outline but it is there, well I take that back not anymore.

Then I took electrical tape and straightened the line to get a descent cut.

I then began cutting away.

And out it went.

Tomorrow or some other day I will cut out the rest so I can accomplish a dipped hood.

Then I took the Styrofoam and outlined the cut out piece I will be creating.

Now I will dig out the Styrofoam in order to create the gills.

Asta later
