2010 fans and spal
So your saying both fans combined pull 30 amps at 100%, could you measure the current draw for a single fan at 100% and report the results. I'm guessing one fan is about 15 amps but I would like to know for sure. I plan on running the spal controller if I can get away with it.
Cool, thanks. Now I can run these fans off the spal unit with a relay for the second fan. I'd rathar run the spal over the DCC controller. I don't want to push a temp probe into the fins of the radiator, your just asking for trouble in Ohio winters by doing that. The spal uses the coolant temp sensor that is already there so there is nothing that goes into the rad fins that can cause trouble down the road. I might even run two separate spal's, one for each fan and set them at different temps that way I will have soft start on both.
Right now these fans are $160 on www.carpartsestore.com
Just thought I'd share. I am seriosuly thinking of getting these with the DC. I have been kicking the idea od the Markviii for a while. I definately like the idea of NEW OEM parts.
