I would say that the silver stars are about %20 brighter than the factory ones. Again not a lot of change but for a 10 minute upgrade and $8 it's well worth it to me.
x2 I just installed mine tonight and I would say the same thing you did a/b 20% brighter definitely whiter light too I took pics but can't tell on the camera so no point in posting them

Same here. If I were to find a lot of guys saying they were worth $50 I'd do it but for now I'll stick with the $8 total upgrade.

I finnished my backup housings for the bumper. Unfortunatly, there is a heck of a lot more work to do being I have the ford factory hitch. I'm going to have to remove the hich/bumper assembly and cut out 2 braces. Install my housings then rebuild the braces around my housings. Heck of a lot of work for some backup lights.

Please to enjoy...

FYI I shot comparison pix when I swapped out the OEM bulbs for Silver Stars. I was using a 'point & shoot' in manual mode so I couldn't control shutter speed; everything else was locked down though. The pix came out pretty accurately.

The 2nd & 3rd pix shutter speed got swapped. Pic 2 should be 1/20 sec shutter and pic 3 should be 1/40 sec shutter speed.

You'll notice that as the light got brighter the shutter speed got quicker and quicker because of the extra light. Can't explain why pic 1's shutter speed is faster than pic 2's though...
