I couldn't find anything substantial. Unless there is a reflector behind me, can't see ****! Ended up building a pair of MR16 housings which I'm going to put in my bumper. I'll have roughly 110 watts of multi-facited reflector light! At the moment I'm waiting for the housing to come back from the powdercoater and to get the nerve to take the plasma cutter to my bumper!

BD, thanks, I did get your PM! I think I'm going to go ahead and order the
60" but am going to cut down the sides of the "hump" just enough so the Recon bar can stay flat and go right through the hump area. I'll touch it up so it doesn't rust and it should come out OK.

Post when you get your!!

I had a recon white lightning LED bar, and it doesn't do jack sh*t to add any additional light output when in reverse. But it looked sweet!

I do a LOT of backing up so I needed good lighting. I looked around and considered adding typical accessory BU lights until I found these White Night Their pix DO NOT do the lights justice.

I bought the lights for my '99 and moved them to the '05. One thing to consider is if you back up to a trailer alone you could whack the lights... Luckily they sell replacement housings. Ask me how I know... Damn rock!

My setup is like the White Knight Lights except my switch is in the cab. I always leave it to where the aux reverse lights come on while in reverse. It's also handy to turn them on whenever I need light back there. I had considered buying the White Knight lights but wanted the switch in the cab.

Anybody look into those?

If I'm going to do aftermarket reverse lights, I'm going to have a switch in the cab.

I can find the 3157 bulbs everywhere, but nothing yet on the 3156 bulbs.

The Sylvania web site lists the 3156 SilverStar Signal Light

Don't want to use the halogen ones, as the backup circuit does not like 1 A additional load on it, along with the 2 x 27W factory bulbs ( they do not burn at full brightness when adding 1 A ).

Just want to add to the Truck-lite backup LEDs ( the 44 series, 54 diode version ) that I have on there now, using the trailer tow adapter reverse circuit.

Yeah, that would be nice to have an in-cab switch instead of the one on the unit itself but I haven't had much of a need for it.

Although back when I drove a stick all you had to do was get the shifter over to the reverse side and the B/U lights would come on; that was handy for tailgaters. Would be nice to have 55 watts x2 to blast a tailgater or high beam jerk-off with!!

I have heard pretty good things from guys on here about those. Haven't heard anything negative from Go Recon yet.

I've had to do that a few times. You just have to make sure it's not a cop.

Being a cop helps!

You can pretty much rule out the po-po tailgating or high beaming you unless a traffic stop is in your imminent future, even then those would be odd/non-standard tactics.

SCULLY,

I just picked up a set of these. I'm going to put them in tomorrow. It will be awesome if $8.35 fixes my "not bright enough reverse lights" problem!!!

Where did you get the 3156 Siverstar Signal bulbs at ?

Autozone & Amazon don't list them ( nor the GE nighthawk in 3156 ).
