Holy cow. That's a lot of horn. I mounted my three horn set in front of the drivers side front wheel pointing down.

I have mine mounted under the bed facing backwards also. on my truck, there is a heat shield under the bed so i just took that off, mounted the horns to that and then put the heat shield back on. I have the 3 trumpet omegas.

Sorry to intrude on your guys' thread but i figured here would be a good place to ask my question. So my old horn is giving out and i want a new one and i want it to be loud, but i dont have the money available to get a full on train horn kit with the air compressors, etc. I found this kit and it seems affordable but Im not sure on the quality of it...
Any help is appreciated

Trainhorn.net is nothing but a HUGE RIP off they first off on their "big bang" kit they were advertising it as a K5LA but have a picture of a nathan p5... and second the picture of the "bigbang" kit was taken driect from the guys at hornblasters.com withour prmission...

If your looking for a great horn kit and GREAT coustomer service i would take a look at hornblasters... I have bought many horns from them and am a loyal customer and have nothing but respect for them for their coustomer service is top nootch and plus they have a lifetime warranty on their shocker horn... no matter how you break them... the shocker horns are the loudest horn available from them before you get to a "Real" train horn

Yeaa it looked pretty cheap to me...my problem is though is i dont have $200 to drop on a horn yet i still want train horn-like performance. Obviously an electric horn wont have the same loudness or pitch as an air horn would but it would be more in my price range...Hornblasters looks good and ive heard many great things about them but they only have air horns from what i see and almost all of them are $200+...any help?

Best advice i can give you is the same thing ever one on trainhornforums.com (hornblasters.com's forums) has learned and that is that its best to wait and save and get what you want the first time... a lot of people buy cheap horns and are really disappointed .. take what you got and save up and get you a kit with a horn you want and a good compressor..

By the way if your registered at trainhornforums.com get a 10% discount from hornblasters.

What if you want a train horn but your not looking for it to be very loud and you don't want a big compressor? Do they even make one that doesn't have a compressor.

Not possible. Train horns are going to be loud. Even knock-off air horns are going to be loud. You can get away from having a compressor but you will either have to fill up a tank at home or run a CO2 tank with a regulator so you have stored air under pressure. This is only of those "go big, or go home" type of things.
