i have mine like right before the spare tire bolted through the bottom of the bed of the truck. and the air tank is on the side of the truck, i welded two strips of steel to the bottom of the frame and the tank is bolted down on top of those.

Yeah, the passenger side frame is a good place for the air compressor and tank and the ashtray is a great place for the little button.

Hey guys I dont mean to be a threadjacker or anything but I was wondering. How do you guys like having train horns? Are they still just as loud on the highway? Do you use them to get those little cars that like to drive ten under in the fast lane out of the way?

i still have my spare tire in. mine is above my exhaust bolted to the bottom of the bed in front of the spare. i had to take one of the horns off to get them above my exhaust pipes but then just put it back on once bolted down. and now that i have the body lift there is a lot more room there.

i can vouch for the horns being fine because i've had mud and water in mine and i just blow it all out, but my compressor is under the hood so it doesn't get too muddy under there.

nice job Standstone......Very clean set up...Love the Nathans!!!!! I want a set

Here are my horns......The reason I mounted them facing out the rear is because I did not want them getting filled with water while driving

I'm a the moderator over at www.trainhornforums.com this is the offical forums of hornblaster.com these are my installs i've had on my dodge i know this dosent help much but at www.hornblasters.com they have a install gallery of all different vehicles that you might can get some ideas from.

these are the horns i have had
this is my Kahlenberg D3 ship horn looks small in the picture but is about double the size of a Nathan K3 it weighs about 60Lbs and has 8" diaphragms
its actually rated for ships up to 275 feet
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WYPHUHfcmfA&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WYPHUHfcmfA&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

This is the Nathan K3HA I had.

And this if the 2 sets of shockers i had running at 200 psi with 1/2 inch airline and a 1/2 in air valve
