Thanks for all the help guys. I am going to be installing it soon.

I have one other question. I want to hook up the power point in on the back left side of it. Which pin is for + power and - power. I assume the middle one is + but I just want to make sure. What gauge wire should this be hooked up with, and should I just chassis ground the powerpoint?

Sorry, I cannot help because I did not hook up the powerpoint. I would suggest looking at one of the powerpoints already in the truck to see how it is hooked up.

Did yours come with the powerpoint there? Mine has the plug but an empty hole.

Dustin, Look around here and see what is said about the Expy console "floating" above the floor. Mine does so and when the weather gets warmer around here, I will "lower" mine in some manner. Also thinking of running some kind of ducting to the hole on the back of it to provide HVAC to the back seat area.

Dustin, What I mean by "floating" is my console did not sit flush on the carpet. It is approx 1" off the floor. Have'nt a clue as to why. Here's another link to check out:

Question

Hey Guys

Great install pics and info.

One question, well actually a few. Would the consone fit in my regular cab? I am very interested in installing one but want to make sure it will fit before spending the money. Also, Do you have to order the console from an aftermarket dealer or could you use a salvaged one? What I mean is are the brackets existing in the expy or are they custom fabbed by a company?

Oh one last thing...does anybody know if you can buy just the brackets if they are in fact custom made?

Thanks

Question

Hey ya'll,

I was wondering, those of you who installed the expy console in a gray interior truck......how does it match? I have dark graphite, and I don't think I'm going to find a dark graphite center console....was curious how the med. graphite matched up. Thanks.

I installed a 98 Expy console in my F150 Lariat with leather interior. Mine is gray and it matches perfect.

98bluelariat,

Check out this post https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/009068.html

This guy installed one in a Lightning so it will fit in a regular cab. I am not sure about the brackets but here is a post describing how to mount it to the floor without the brackets https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000212.html Read LANE's post on how to do this.

Hope this helps.
