Hey Timeless,

Just got off the site and there are hacks/mods for the Z series. Just click on the particular Z model you have and it will bring up the section you're looking for. Hope this helps

Do you thimk a satelite antenna would work good there also, seems like a great spot.

I know this an old thread, but does anyone know where the gps antenna was mounted? The picture no longer works.

I reposted the pictures if it helps.I didnt realize that if you reorganize your photobucket page all the links have to be re done. When you remove the storage area that in the middle of your dash you'll see the metal brace. That seems to be the best place to mount it..my set up is a few years old now and is still working fine.....Although the PAC steering wheel contols are acting up a bit.Dont know if its a dirty contact in the wheel of the unit itself but from time to time they dont work or they get a long delay. But i really dont feel like poping the console off right now to check it.

I mounted my antenna on the passenger side roof cuz I had my xm antenna on the driver side. My pac controller is acting up too... i thought cuz the buttons on my steering wheel is going out... I use the radio controls 100x more than AC and Cruise buttons.

What did you use for the Sirius Tuner? did you just plug that wire right into the Pioneer SiriusConnect™ Adapter?

I heard pioneer doesn't work well with sirius. My truck has stock sirius radio and I have the Avic Z 130BT, I'd like to get my sirius back for sure

I bought the SIRIUS SC-C1 sirius tuner off e-bay for 50.00.I'v had no issues with it in 3 years.I also bought the HD radio tuner and have the Ipod cable for my i touch for MP3 and movies. My unit also has the built in GPS and bluetooth to make my phone hands free.So far I'v had no issues with the pioneer.I originally bought it because you can change the color of the LED's to match the green color of fords LED's..I didn't want blue or red like most head units..plus I grew up on the pioneer super tuner. And like i said so fare no issues.

Not to hijack, but I have a paint to match handle (OEM) and an aftermarket camera. Fits almost any late model F-series truck, and a Gen2 Trac. Hole for camera in handle has been enlarged for proper fit. Decided not to install. $150 to your door.

I am installing a pioneer AVIC-8100NEX head unit in a 2006 Supercrew F150 FX4. I tried the grey/black wire at the maine radio harness for the vss connection but it still says that it is not connected? Has anybody else experienced this?
