Alpine Black Bird II and WA 205 or Eclipse 5495

Has anyone tried the Black Bird II and how do u like it? Im thinking about getting the Alpine WA 205 and later a Black Bird for it but i wanted some opinions of both before i spend that kind of money. Its either the Alpine or the Eclipse 5495. I know one thing that dont like already with the Alpine 205 is no antitheft measures as far as i know, plz tell me if im wrong on this.

Thanks
Joel

The 205

I have the 205 and like it, it does have a compartment for your blackbird behind the screen. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a sd card slot, where I have seen some of the other players do.

Huh? The BlackBird B200 does have an SD card....flip the screen down while docked and presto, there it is.

Its pretty awesome and fast. Battery life is bad but I never use it outside of my truck.

The 3D view is really slick and the device is very intuitive.

You do need to know that System resets and Alpine go hand in hand.

I have to reset the unit at least once a week. (however in Alpines defense, its also due to me driving a PSD. you cannot just start the engine you have to wait for the glow plugs and the radio fires up, then you start and it fires up again)

Put a PAC TR-7 on the ign wire. So it waits 20 seconds. Then kicks up. Or to the wait to start light.
