My wife isn't too crazy about me going back to the mounds with my daily driver after what happened and the money that had to go into my truck. lol I learned my lesson though. I think I may not have gotten stuck if I didn't gun it right before I hit the water, all it did was slow me down and I lost traction. I have new tires on now too. Aaron you ever change fron struts? Apparently my rear shocks are leaking, I can do those myself no biggie if they really are leaking. Send me a pm.

Can anyone recommend a good dealership to get work done at in the sterling heights area other than suburban on van dyke? Had a very bad experience there and need some place else to take my truck when it needs work done on it. Oh and not going to Dorian on gratiot. Any other suggestions?

lol i was going to suggest suburban. Idk if royal oak ford has a service shop but you might wanna try them. or suburban starters and alternators, they have been great so far. got a brake line and bleed put in and they are friendly people

Hello Michigan! I'm from Omaha, Nebraska, and am going to come to your fine state to spend a weekend at the Silver Lake sand dunes in the first weekend of June. I have a motel reserved in Mears. What else is there to do around there? Any local hide-outs to see or stay away from?

I only go to Roy O'Brien Ford in St Clair Shores if it is a warranty or "dealer only" situation. Otherwise i tend to do it myself, or take it to a friends garage on Groesbeck in Fraser. His shop is Car Guys Auto, i've known him for 20+ years and he is very reliable and stands behind his work.

Dude, I have a summer home there. Try www.thinkdunes.com Be sure to check out the lighthouse. Lots of nice bars in Hart, Pentwater and Shelby. You can always head up to Ludington for the day. Be sure to have a sturdy mount for your dune flag. Non-resident state park will run $29.00 ORV $16.50. If you do not have a flag, those can be purchased all over the Silver Lake area.

what would you recommend for a flag mount? I will see if I can make something up that will bolt to my tow hooks maybe.
I'm definately looking forward to this, probably cost me a ton in gas money just to get there, but should be fun. I've been doing some preventive maintenance to make sure I can make it back home.

I took out the two bolts for the right tow hook, fab a piece of angle iron that sticks out about two inches farther than my bumper, drilled and mounted it between frame and tow hook.
