Anyone in the Omaha Nebraska area?
Nice Krohbar, I wish I could say the same about my install
, this weekend I managed to get the bottom part of my console made up, and the Big 4 done. So now my trucks grounds and positive to alternator are all running 1/0
. I got my 4 runs of 17' speaker wire finished with soldered ends and tech flexing the entire length. I also go the back seat out and ready to start putting down the sound dampener.
jumpn I think we all are in agreement with the winter coats need to stay in the closet.

I didn't worry about wire lengths when I ran my new wires... The way I figured, we are only talking feet, and the speed of light... my back doors are close, the front doors are close, and then the center channel (once I get a speaker) well, he's on his own. If I notice anything, I can change the timing in the amp setup through my head unit. I do need to go though the 15 band EQ and the sub low pass filters to clean up the sound a bit, the highs from the tweeters a a tad harsh... lol
Help me!
OK, now I'm getting an itch to lift my truck. Tell me I don't need it. Tell me it's fine the way it is. Don't tell me how cool it would be, how fun it is, or any other justifications. I know I would like the Fabtech, not sure how big of tires though. What would be the "smallest" tire that would still look OK. No body lift. Wheels, I would probably go to 16". I know gears would be the other big money ticket. I would go 4.56 for that. Lottery money, where art thou?
You don't need it. It is fine the way it is.
Does that help??
Seriously though - what about just cranking up the torsion bars an inch or two to level it out to get some bigger tires to fit with some nice wheels if you don't want to lift it??
Or - instead of a fabtech lift, do a 3" body lift and crank the torsion bars a bit (much more cost effective). That way can still put some 35" tires under it and it will still look good.
Just something to think about I guess.

I would start with cranking up the torsion bars, then it will fix that itch just long enough to get the funds together for the real deal lift (insert evil genius laughter here
)
I think you went to the wrong place to say "please tell me not to get a lift." But I would agree with everyone on the torsion bars. Never did it on my '98 but I did put some larger tires on it and it seemed to give me a little bit of lift and was enough to please me.
On another note decided to do the plugs this weekend and... broke 2 off in the heads. I tried to get them out myself but didn't have the proper tools to get it done so it's going in to be fixed.

My second F150 was very similar to yours, I put on a 3" body lift and 33" Nittos. I really liked how it looked, although the heavy 20" wheels and tires really had a negative affect in power and how it shifted, but a superchips programmer fixed that! Below are a few pics, later.

i plan on doing what ty said to my truck....PA 3" BL cranking the torsion bars ALL the way up and adding an aal in the rear to hopefully make it about 4.5-5" "lifted" and sittin level...i figure with onlye 4.5 to 5 inches of lift i can run a nice 33" mud tire and it will still look nice and i won't have to regear
also im bored with my exhaust after having it on for 3 months...not sure if i mentioned this already or not but my new plans are maggie high flows(the loud ones), x pipe, duals, bullets dumped(i have chrome tips but depends on price if i go out the back or not)
then in a cpl years when i have 4 grand laying around....well it'll be gettin jacked up another 6"...way down the road though

That's probably why I haven't seen your truck around. Fremont isn't that big. And I don't think I've seen your truck yet.
