Kentucky Guys Coming to The Horse Park on April 21-22

If you're in town a day early, check out the Grand Re-Opening Celebration at my retail store in Lexington. It's Friday, April 20th, and there will be all kinds of cool stuff going on...

Horse Park

I'd love to man, but I've got to bug out on Friday night after the show and head down to Glasgow for a family deal. If anything changes with that, I'd definitely come out. I've had a lot of fun times at The Horse Park...cool place to get together.

Hey BQ would you know of a good audio guy? I need to get some Boston components swapped out (z's for 50's) and dont want to go back across town since those dudes have messed up on my system twice now. My wife bought me the z's for x-mas and I have been trying to find someone decent to swap them out since then...any help would be appreciated. Thanks man.

Firehead, my audio installer might be able to do it. His name is Stephen and the number to the store is 859.255.6602. I'll email him your info so that he has a heads-up when you call.

Thanks!
BQ

My wife is also from Glasgow. She's been in Lexington with me for 5 years now, but her people are still in Barren County. Small world...

Eclipse

No, we sure don't....I can't remember who the Eclipse guy is in town. It's either AutoSound or Car Stereo Warehouse.

Clarion and Pioneer are our two best options. Clarion's MAX675 has been a hot little guy for '07. It's not a flip-out, but it's a full 7" in dash touch screen with DVD, direct iPod connection and controls...they have a hard disk drive navigation component that is slick. I believe this is what will be going in my truck when it's time to work on the mobile electronics portion of my little circus. (We also stock a Clarion flip-out model that has all of the exact same features.)

Bigfoot

We had a great day at our Grand Opening on Friday...my favorite part, of course, was getting to play with BIGFOOT. I met the 53' hauler that carts the truck around at our warehouse and got to assist in the assembly of BIGFOOT. That was awesome...it backs off the trailer with these tiny little wheels and tires on it, then the big boys get pulled off the trailer and bolted on. It was an experience!

Then, the best part of the day, was when my F150 got to be the "chase truck" when we drove BIGFOOT over to our retail store. (Only about 1/2 mile away.) I had a remote engine kill switch in my truck so that I could disable his power if he had any trouble.

We had a police escort in front, BIGFOOT in the middle, and yours truly bringing up the rear. You should have seen the looks we got with that big sucker on New Circle Road! We buzzed our retail store on New Circle doing about illegal.5 miles per hour....turned around and buzzed it again on the rear wheels only.....then parked her. It was unbelievably loud, unbelievably obnoxious, and super fun. Then, we got to do it all again at the end of the day!

A buddy of mine caught some pictures, but I've got better ones coming...took a really cool one of my truck under BIGFOOT's front end. Slick.

Rumbling down New Circle...

Rumbling back by the store again and putting on the brakes for a turn...

Turning in to my store...
