Differences Between Mark LT and F150

Hi all. I'm working out a deal right now for a new truck, and the price is so close I'm considering a Mark LT over a new F150.

I like to do a lot of customizations to my trucks (suspension levels/lifts, exhaust, CAI, programming, etc) and I'm wondering if there are less options for the Mark LT than the F150, or if all the parts are the same.

Really looking to get some feedback ASAP as I have a meeting with my salesperson on Monday.

Thanks,
Chris Barron

I'm pretty sure the Mark LT comes fully loaded with extra interior stuff like the Mark LT embroidered in the seats, etc, and some big, ugly-*** non-functional taillight things on the tail gate. I'd get a loaded Lariat or King Ranch, they look a ton better IMO.

I thought they quit makign the Mark LT. I dotn think they sell many of them. Lincoln needs to pick it up because they have been slacking the past few years. They are nowhere near what cadillac does.

Structurally they are the same truck. The difference is only cosmetic.

Everything suspensoin wise is the same, so you're good to go for the lift kit. Powertrain is all the same so you're fine with all that too!

Well, I have a Mark LT and i like the looks. The interior seats are a step up from a Lariat. You get a extra year warranty. I agree that Lincoln didn't do enough to separate the Mark LT vs the Lariat which is why it died. If you can get one for close to the price of the Lariat, it's worth it.

Price is not really the difference considering that I bought mine for $34k and the same options on a Lariat was the same. One thing that no one has mntioned is that the computer is not the same in the Mark as the F150.There are only a select few programers that will work with the Mark.

I'm looking at a 2008 Mark LT too. The seat leather is better quality than my Lariat. The wood trim is real, not plastic. It seems quieter so maybe it has more sound deadening. The one I'm looking at is $45k. It has nav, rear camera and just about every other option. I can get it for $30k. Thats $4k less that I paid for my 06 Lariat. Here is a pic of the one I'm looking at.

They keep them inside the truck for some reason.
