Exclamation :stupid: Do our trucks have Alarms??

I now they "beep" when locked, and there is a panic button.... but how come if you "shake" the truck, it doesn't go off??

Was i just a moron for trying to set off an alarm that doesn't exist?

Just wondering now, after CrazyFoo got his whip stolen last night. What are people running for alarm setups??

we have a passive alarm from the factory which seams to be easily defeatable, what you want is an active alarm something with an audible alarm

Let's say I add an aftermarket (UNGO, Clifford, Alpine, etc.) alarm with a motion and shock sensor. Will I have to disable the factory alarm?

Can you have both??

Ditto. Only reason I haven't installed an aftermarket alarm yet.

I did it to, so don't feel bad. If you want to hear the alarm hit the panic button

I got one in mine. The previous owner had it installed. It uses the stock remote to activate it. Press once and it activates, press again and the horn sounds. You really have to make the truck move for it to go off.

I have a silly question for you guys. I have 97 F150 XLT truck (not a L). I have the remote key bob. When I lock my doors with it, you can not open the door without it blowning the horn. I can have my windows down, you can reach in and unlock the doors and open the door, the alarm goes off. Heck my wife and myself has open the door with just the key, and the alarm goes off. (horn blows) The only way you can get into my truck is with the key bob without the alarm sounding when you open the doors. Now I can lock the door by just pushing down the lock, the alarm light doesn't come on, and you can do anything you want to open the doors and the alarm does not go off. (I know where is the ?)

How can they steal your/our trucks if we have the truck alarm set with the key bob?
