I don't think that we should be taking the prospect of the Ram SRT-10 too lightly. Now that Mercedes is in the picture, it might actually be possible for Dodge to have a strong runner. I'm still hearing many people say that the Dodge trucks are plauged with problems. I guess well have to wait to see.

The Silverato SS seems like a good idea. I'm no Chevy fan, and don't like the looks of the trucks, but it's good that they offer something like this to their customers. It's not a Lightning killer but I think if that's what wanted to do, they've got the means to do it. I wouldn't be surprized to hear that a couple (modded) SS's take the Lightning. Hey, slap a SC on one of thoes, you got a pretty strong ride there.

I'm first and formost a Ford fan. I respect what the other makers offer, but my first choice is Ford. I really like that the Lightning uses a smaller displacement engine and uses the more efficient method of supercharging. It makes all the sence in the world to me! Many of you say that there is no replacemant for displacement. I'd like to see more power out of less motor. I'm more impressed with that than some mammoth motor.

Fords been a little slow keeping up in the hp/tq numbers game. I hope that they have something in the works. I don't own a Lightning, yet, but I would like them to reign forever!

How about 500hp out of 281ci? I guess 330 is still ok!
