Talking I'll whack any Gen 2 L NOW!!!!!

With my new R1 toy that is!

Well I went with my uncle today (the guy in blue) and we got my new bike that I have wanted for so very long!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw it in the window and I new that was the one for me. All I can say is this thing is Faster then I ever thought it was. 10.07 in the 1/4 BONE STOCK!!!!! I couldn't believe it when I saw that but I'm sure it does with the way she takes off like a bat out of hell! I am so happy to finally get a bike and I'm gald that I didn't get a 600 like some said too. THis bike fits me perfect and I have no trouble with the power at all, just don't use it all if you don't want to go that fast. Its so much more smooth then my CRF450R dirt bike with the clutch and the power band. As soon as you hit about 7 grand it feels like you went from a N/A L to a 200 shot of juice! Its crazy fast and I love it. It's even beautiful!

See that name on the wall above that Phazer sled, now that's what you need for the winter.

Well the muffler had a scratch on it from the dealer so I bitched about it enough and they gave me a better deal on the bike. My uncle is good friends with the owner so I got it for cost with my CRF450R trade in. Total with trade and tax, title, shipping fee's and docking crap I ended up paying a little over 5,000 for the bike out the door. Which I thought was a great deal so I jumped at it.

As far as mods go, so far the only thing's on my list to do are:

new exhaust system
power comander 3
Chrome wheels

I don't know what else to do but I assure you I will find more toys for the new little beast!!

If anything its going to be one of these for the water!!!

Nice choice!

Now go easy on those poor ol' Ls out there!

For some reason, I'm addicted to fast bikes and trucks too...is something wrong with me?

Hey Joe, awesome choice, in within the next few months I plan on picking up my Silver Edition R1...

Check out this website, awesome group of guys/gals, and great info, it's like this website, but for R1's...
http://www.r1-forum.com/

Also, about your wish list, you could always add a turbo, a reverse shifter,

as for exhaust, there is micron, akra, etc. etc.... check out the site above...well worth the time. (plus you can check out the "Not Work Safe" section as well! )

Beautiful bike man!!

I had to sell my R6 to buy my Lightning. I would give anything to get one of those R1's. Perfect choice on color too, I love that red combination so much.

As far as exhaust, it depends how much you want to spend and how loud you want it. The Akrapovic is the best brand out there, but they aren't as loud as say a Two Brothers Racing. I still recommend the Akra, for it is the only exhaust beautiful enough for that bike.

Good luck with it!!

Do you need a jacket? I have a barely used Medium Joe Rocket Atomic jacket for sale, and it's red/blk/white to match your bike.

Thats what the guy told me about the akrapovic exhaust for the bike. He said it was the best by far too, so I'm leaning towards that one. But how much louder is that pipe VS. the stockl pipe? The stock pipe is just way to quiet for me. I'm used to long tubes headers and bassani exhaust thunder from the L!!!!!!!!!

I would love the jacket but I'm a tad to large for that coat. I'm 6'2" and about 220 pounds so thats not going to fit me.
