My L now has 34K and I was thinking of replacing it. I know it is probably time, but I was curious what the factory suggests.

Not sure what it says in the book says, but you are long past due.

Here's the Motorcraft part number: FG-986G.

Smile Ford (recommends)

20,000 Miles! (I think)
34,000! Way over due!
They recommend changing it at 10,000, if you want maximum performance out of it at the track! (they!) being other racers...Not Ford!

I changed at 10'000 and will use that mark.Premium is less refined and will clog a filter faster.Hey,its only 9 bucks.Change it often.
