First round eliminations WFC 5
Jim was disqualified for driving a vehicle that was registered by another person.
I had a great time visiting with everyone. These Gen II's are Amazing!! Last year 12 second Gen II's were a sight to see and now there are 11 sec Gen II's. What will next year bring?

i do not believe the problem was him driving the truck in general.
the problem was that he did not register, and may not have even qualified the truck.
thats a big no no,
that would be like me qualifying my truck and having john force jump in to run it.
and just for the record, sal had nothing to do with it, i was pitted with sal and we were sitting there right after the run when he was getting ready to start loading the truck up and they called him to the tower to tell him that jim was disqualified
we have no idea who mentioned it

I just talked with Jim on his cell. 9:50 pm cst and he was about an hour away from home. He said he drove the truck in time trials and qualifing and this was the second round of the race before someone complained he wasn't on the wavier sheet for the truck. I have no idea what that means. At my track you sign a wavor when you come in the gate and it is quite normal when someone breaks in brackets they get their tow truck, or borrow anything just to get the next points for coming to the line. All they have to do is take the new vehicle thru tech. Sounds like a technicality of the big races but Jim did qualify in the truck.

Ok Guys this is the way it was explained to me by George G. the promoter of the event.
My waver sheet was not signed for that particular truck.
It was teched in by the owner thursday morning.
I did not arrive till Friday morning.
I knew I was going to drive it by that Tuesday before the event.
There was one run on Saturday morning for test and tune.
I drove it 12.30 spinning the tires out of the hole, on and off the throttle.
First run round of qualifing I drove it 1.65 60 ft.lifted half throttle at the 1000 ft. Went through it at a 12.02@110.50.
Second round qualifing 1.65 60ft. lifted half thottle at the 1000 ft. Went through at a 12.04@111.0.
Then it was Sunday afternoon for first round eliminations, I was up against Sal.
I did the same thing, I lifted half throttle at the 1000 ft.
He was still to far behind me so I hit the brakes because I thought I was going to break out.
After the race, Sal was called to the tower to give his interveiw about PSP and it's products over the PA system.
After his interview he left the tower, then he was called back into the tower.
Then the owner of the truck and I was called into the tower and we were told we were disqualified because I did not sign the waver to drive that particular truck.
He told us the complaint came from one of the Pro Lightning drivers.
The promoter said he was sorry and gave us a full refund and that his hands were tied.
I guess in competition anyway you can eliminate somebody is the way it works.
Sal told me the reason he was called back into the tower was because he was told that I was eliminated and that he was back in.
Going to bed know after a 1000 miles of driving.
