First round eliminations WFC 5
Frank, just for the record, what you stated did not happen. I was not contacted by George about anything. I was called to the tower and told I was back in Pro because my opponent was disqualified. I was not told why Jim was DQed, I found out second hand by someone in the pits. George was not even in the tower at that time. I went back to the pits and waited to race. What I explained in my other post is exactly what happened. I had no more knowledge of what was going on that anyone else. And as I told Jim there, I was not aware of any rules that said what you guys were doing was wrong. I just wanted to clear this up.

That is one fast 02. I have reread rules and still can't find the problem, and Shaun was Data Logging my Truck throughout WFC. So, I didn't see any Problem Coming either.

George Gonzales told me personally, with two witnesses present, that he contacted you on your cell phone, and that you declined my request for a re-match. If he in fact did not contact you, then we were misinformed.
This is my last post on the subject. This issue is History......lets ALL move on, and have fun racing the rest of the summer and fall.

Well, since I just bought a cell phone the day before we left for WFC, and nobody has the number, I'd say it's pretty much impossible for anyone to have called me on it.
I know you want to put this subject to rest, and so do I. I am just trying to clear my name here, since I had nothing to do with this. I don't want anyone being upset with me for something I didn't even do.

The incident about who's driving what really sucked. The weekend was going smoothly until that happened.
I learned a few things about what to ask questions about, what is allowed and not allowed at different tracks now after all this stuff.
Frank, JDM had your truck tuned and running great. That's a tune when a tuner spends the time trying different programs to make sure they get the best and safest one for your truck.
I agree with Frank, It's old news now, lets just bury the hatchet and move on. We can't change what happened in the past, just learn from it.

i tried calling him on it while sitting next to him and it was not even on.
i asked why have a cell if it's not going to be on, he said it's only for emergencies because they blew a trailer tire on the way home from the last event.

i tried calling sal around 6 pm also to see how the next round went on sunday, and his phone was still not on.

Yea, I'd like to know who complained and I'd like to know why this Gonzoles guy said he called Sal if he didn't. Why can't we find out the truth for once. Everything today from Enron to 9/11 goes on and on and on and nobody ever finds out the truth. I'd, for once like to know the truth.
What's this Gonzoles guys phone number. Post it here. Maybe after about 40-100 people call him we can start getting somewhere. Jim and Sal have both been called uncomplementary things over this and it's starting to look like neither of them are due what they have been getting, but someone is and he should damn well get it!

Sal could have cared less about winning,
well, i shouldn't say that, but he is the class sponsor and wants everyone to have a good time.
With having the fuel system problems, it's really impossible for the truck to be consistent.
I was pitted with sal for 3 days, and I can tell you.
He was already packing things up, 100% for sure.

Obviously someone @ WFC 5 knew there was a registration error and deceided not to say anything until it was too late!!! I can only hope that their name is posted for all to see. It will show the lightning community just what this person is really all about. A true sportsman would have brought this up along time before any eliminations started....and prevented any of this "As the Lightning World Turns" soap opera ***** from happening.

I just spoke to George at World Race Events to find out what he knew. He told me that one of the WFC officials came up to the tower and said that someone went to the registration trailer and had complianed about Jim driving a truck he was not registered for. They checked the records and found that was true. They then called me to the tower and told me I was back in because my opponent was DQed (at which point I did not know why). Then Jim and Frank went to the tower and George said that he discussed it with them, then went upstairs to talk it over with the track race director who declined the re-run, and George returned downstairs and told them the decision. That's it, that's all there is to it.
The only unanswered question is WHO the person was who complained, but since it was done at the trailer, I doubt we'll ever know.
