That was awesome. I will have to try that someday. I know of one in Oklahoma City, and was just informed of a track near Tulsa. Them 7 seconds to download seemed to take forever.

Do the autocross events wear you tires down much, for the stock F1's in an L and a reg truck like mine?????

Don't kid yourself. Autocross is hard on tires. A 5000 lb truck is far from a cheep thing to run. But...It is a blast to do in any car.

It's down to like 2300lbs now without ballist. And it still has the stock floor pan. There is not a lot of bracing in the body panels but it is still all steel.

Just a note to anyone who hasn't tried autocrossing, It is a ton of fun and you should try it if you can. I only did it twice back in "91 when I first bought my MR2, A friend of my father use do do it all the time and brought me. I was so happy the second time I went I got a 1st place Novice Plaque, It made my day. I know the picture isn't that great so I thought I would share the name of that particular race (Anyone but Senna) He was an awesome driver and he died way too young.
I will have to get my car back on the road someday and use it for a track car, I really miss it, it was a lot of fun.

Been there in my '01 Cobra, and it was a blast. Of course it put about 5K miles wear on the almost new tires (only had 500 miles on the car at the time).

Its just as expensive to race em through the curves as to race em down the straight line.

keep em shiny side up...
