Then a bunch told him to leave.

Then someone made a comment about the NLOC which didn't make sense.

Then a Police Officer made a honest statement.

Then someone bragged about getting a bunch of tickets but beat them all.

Then someone point out that maybe getting all those citations is not something to brag about.

Then I thought "all this is in writing!"

And that's when I started laughing...
Spike go F yourself! You are the last person anyone wants to hear from.

You're a ****ing *****, at least I'm just an a$$.

Good one! I bet you used all your brains to think that up.

Try again, let's see how many more thoughts you can post showing your intellect before this one is closed. See if you can use a three syllable word in a sentence.

I think that vic is just venting in the wrong direction guys don't take this too seriously, I think it's fair to say that all local law enforcement have some quirks that need to be adressed, as stated before cops, work on quotas not facts in most cases just chock it up to a ****ed up world, not a country! And guys anyone needin help to whoop some sand peoples *** let me know!

i think Vicks thinks we are going to miss him...

Sounds like he messed up and knows it...so whats the best way to resolve it???

run from the site..

we dont need members here like that....

Anyone who makes $170,000+++ has better things to do than run their mouths off about "us backwoods folks"

anyway....

could to see him gone....

i love this country,,, only in America can a 19 y/o drive what i drive,

and all these other young kids on this board drive...lightnings, cobras..etc....

Plus we are evidently the brightest nation on Earth...
bringing war back into this..

We are the only nation that back Isreal,
In the Bible,Abraham was told that he who protects Isreal will also themselves be protected...
so the Govt can say whatever they want about Church/State but i believe someone is holding it together..

why dont you take that to Korea or Japan, or wherever the He!! you live....

oh yeah'

P>S

I don't understand the lawyer thing getting you out of 28 ...
Not all of my cites were done by HPD, Houston has tons of rent - a - cops and other depts. such as Metro, Sherrif, Constable, you name it. Dismissals and trial by jury are the way to go - DA's hate trial by jury because the time involved plus the officers can't seem to be able to keep the facts straight under fire. Not to mention the fact that the juries are made up of citizens that have all been slammed by the system themselves - so they typicaly won't side with the DA.

I don't lament the trials and tribulatons of the 'Traffic Cop', not one iota. If the system was less centric to revenue - then mabye. But not the case. Traffic tickets = $$$ for the city. I am not fooled -it's not about safety or pollution, but revenue. Houston strip annexes sections of roadways here for the sheer purpose of speed traps.

It's just a system. If you have the tools and skillsets to work with the system, it can be bent.

I don't "hate" cops - just the way the system works.

As I read this, the people who were being ticketed *CHOSE* not to display front plates as required by law. When did they suddenly become above the law that the rest of us choose to follow? To me it is all b!tch!n' and moaning because they got "Caught".

Quite possibly the officer was just killin' time in between rousting the drunks.

Subject about cops

The guy who said he can get out of any ticket, is pretty close to being correct unfortunately. While i do agree that an occasional ticket for a momentary lapse of judgement where no one has the potential to get seriously harmed should be overlooked; i don't feel that endless speeding is acceptable just because one has a fast car. You should go as fast as you want, up to the speed limit. What else do you have to prove?
I hear about all the great so called *kills* by lightnings on the board. I always get a kick out of it. Do you do it for respect? I remember hearing one time, that "when you win, score, etc... act like you've been there and done it before" it gains you alot more respect.
Food for thought... Barry Sanders versus Dieon Sanders.. need i say more?

Also, it isn't judges that throw out cases, it's usually the lawyer taking the prosecuting attorney out to lunch and talking him out of persuing the full penalty available by law. At least that's what it's like here in michigan and with my lawyer.

And last, Thanks to the COP on the board. Your right, you are braver then alot of people on the board, and it's easy to criticize when were not in your shoes. Your also right, i would want you to give it your all if i was in need of your assistance, or finding my lost child, or whatever the case may be. Putting others first, is what makes hero's. my hats off.

Thumbs up

Good going Master of Pain. If the taxman wants his revenue, let him earn it.

Mister Cop, there are quotas whether they are expressed or implied. Become the officer to issue the least amount of tickets for a few months running and then tell me there aren't quotas. As far as the "speed kills" drivel, save that for the soccer moms. It has been shown repeatedly the slow a$$ driver causes more accidents than speeders. Montana's deathrate on the highways were in steady decline with their Montanaubon until the Feds leaned on them to post speed limits. They were making all the other highway tax scams look bad. So much for the implication of anarchy if the speed limits weren't in place. I've also noticed the quickest way to mess up the steady flow of traffic is to post the taxman in his favorite place to bushwack some motorist so the tax coffers can be fattened a little more. Nevermind that the normal reaction to your presence is to hit the brakes whether one is speeding or not. Of course the resulting chainreaction of people hitting their brakes and swerving to avoid an accident surely isn't your fault, it never is, after all you're there to make it safe. Forget that highly visible police cruisers are the only true deterent to speeders you employ the criminals method of suprising your victims. After all, it is more effective for handing out more citations, isn't it? Nothing against you personally, I don't know you, except that you endorse a screwed up system.
