It looks like a nice setup. Like I said before my concern was that the inlet tube after the maf is not at least 90mm in diameter. Their picture looks like the 80mm setup. Roger said it bolted up ok. Maybe he can get a diameter of the inlet tube at the maf where the rubber boot attaches. I guess if it makes more power that is what counts..

DID K&N FINALLY get a complete system for the 2001 and up L's??
last time i talked to them all they had was 99 and 2000 nothing for 2001??

This pic shows the difference between the outside diameters of the MAF and the intake duct. The inside diameters are closer in size; but, the 90mm MAF is slightly larger. The interior smoothness of the intake tube compensates for this some what, in comparison to stock, I believe.

Still, that's a very clean look. Great job!

Odin's Wrath--I couldn't tell if there was a tube or boot leading to the fender for the "ram-air".Is there one and what is it composed of? (Nice install, BTW)

Thanks!

The air box has a soft rubber lip that presses against the inside of the fender well. The hole in the box is slightly larger than the hole in the fender well. I have the JL ram air kit installed; so, I just fed the flex hose about 3 inches into the air box. It feels like a vacuum cleaner at the ram air inlet when you rev the engine. I know this setup is giving me a lot more "cold" air than the open element filter setup did. There is still the option of opening up the bottom and adding another tube for more cold air. I'm sure this would help even more. I'm really happy with this kit, even though it would have been better with a larger diameter air intake duct.
