I am not trying to start anything but I look forward to taking out the number 1 JLP tuned customers truck this year. You have done a great job with your truck and you do deserve that respect, your truck sure does go great, keep up the great work.
See you at the track this season, we can have a tuners customer truck shoot out.

Bill
You know I want some of that action! PSP power!

Talking

I was hoping I would get some comments on that
It is going to be a great season this year with some really good E.T.'s
I wish all of us the best, and I can't wait for some new best times for all of us.
As the Rock would say " Just bring it"
I will be happy to do some friendly racing with all of you, so do any of you have any projections as far as times this year? Top ten maybe? We all know the three tunners will be there and they should be, but how about the customer's trucks?????
Where do you think yours will fall??
Remember we are all brothers and sisters so lets keep this cool

Bill

Honestly bill I wouldn't know what my trucks going to run but I would hope for a mid 11. 11.50 to 11.60.

Last year the fastest I went was 12.28

My new mods this year are.

6 gallon power custom power cooler
custom belt tensionoir
new intercooler
new supercharger
4lb lower pulley, instead of 2lb
metco upper pulley.
calvert traction bars
Kooks stainless steel long tubes
new cats
factory tech monster box (on the way)
Precision industries 2600 stall converter
Centerline 16" billet wheels. 16x10' rear, 16x7" front.
Hooiser 28" slicks, front runner tires
doetsch shocks, (like there going to help)

So if you figure that most of the top guys picked up 3 to 4 tenths from headers alone, that would put me on the 11's right there. then another 3.5 pounds of boost from pulleys should be good for another 2 tenths I would hope. Converter, I have no clue but atleast 2 tenths with lighter wheels and tires.

So I'm there, but I'm also at the critical point of breaking a rod this year, which I expect to happen. But now that I expect it to happen it won't watch? I really hope it does so I have an excuss to get another new motor from PSP, HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Thumbs up

Joe,
That sounds like a good prediction, I wish you the best. I would think with all that you are doing you will hit the mid 11's that you hope for. Are you still going to run the 50 shot? with that and everything else on your list it should be no problem unless you stress out your motor a little too much. I hope your motor runs strong all year and that you get the times that you are looking for and then next winter or when you are ready you do the motor with out having too.
Good luck this year.
Bill

I would like to say there are some very fast trucks on this site. That is why I made this post, but at the same time when you have a fast truck you also get jealous owners of other trucks who make excuses up, whatever it may be at that time,(suspension, track, nitrous, blah, blah, blah) I know my truck isn't the fastest, but it probably is with least amount of mods. But I'm not going to make myself the title of ( the fastest on stock tires w/no nos, with a the least mod and sway bar removed in cold air at the perfect track in the world and a 1/4 tank of gas) what a waste of breath that would be. I made this to see what everyone else was running on stock tires. Not so a bunch of cry babies could come and start making catagories, (FULL TRIM,NOS,NO NOS,EAST,WEST,NORTH,SOUTH,YOU HAVE A BIGGER PULLEY SO MINE WOULD RUN WHAT YOURS RUN) Give me a break, there sure are a lot of clowns out there, and this is all about fun.

Cool

It sounds like you just started a category "least amount of mods". I wouldn't want you to become a cry baby like the rest of us. Nobody said you wouldn't run 12's at St. Louis but you won't run 12.3's with the same setup that's on your truck now. Go back and read the post again for what it means. You will run slower in the midsouth because of the elevation and air. It's just fact whether you like it or not. Go to Bristol and run if you really want your heart broken. I'm outta here.

I'm not trying to catagory myself, I said it probably is the fastest with the least amount of mods, I didn't say this sould be any kind of catagory, like "FULL TRIM". And you said guys from the east that would run 12's couldn't break into the 12's in St.Louis. So like I said all the tracks in the country are open to anyone in the world so if you run in memphis and have slow times I didn't tell you to chose your track. I guess your the kind of person that tells people if you came to the east coast you would run a 1/2 second faster right.

There is no hope for you. You just don't get it. I guess you've never heard the expression "all thing being equal".

It's time to put your money where you mouth is. I've got a $1000 that says you can't come down here and run 12.3's with your present mods. Better yet let's make it $2000. You'll be lucky to get within 2 tenths but I'll bet it will be worse. PUT UP OR SHUT UP.

Isn't this like the tenth thread you have started about basically the same thing. "Is anybody's truck as fast as mine?"

At this point, who really cares anymore?

I agree with the majority. I really see no point in limiting the performance of the truck by running on street tires.

The reason I bought drag tires for mine was to actually save money in the long run by not having to replace my street tires more often my burning them up at the track.
