Question List fastest times on stock tires

I'm curious because there was a couple of trucks real close to my times last year and I'm wondering if they have picked up any yet this year.

I know JL went a 12.20 @ 117 with lots of mods so he's on top for now. I've ran a 12.33 but this year I've better my mph to 111.50 in a 25 to 30mph crosswind, so I know some faster times are coming. I'm just wondering where everyone else is.

Are you doing this at full weight with the front sway bar connected. It also depends on the track, air and elevation. Fast1matt ran a 12.48 in January at Houston with some cool weather. He can't duplicate it in Memphis because of the elevation. 50 feet above sea level vs. 540 feet above sea level. It's hard to compare apples and oranges.

My best so far has been a 12.65 @ 107.93 (55 degree temp).

12.0 on 22's, does this count? much harder to hook than the F1's.

I would agree if the times were without using nitrous but I believe using nitrous makes it easier to obtain good times on stock tires as you can get the truck rolling before you hit the juice. Just my 3 cents worth

Totaled,
I will agree with that, Nitrous will allow you to make it up on the top end. This year is a new year and I can't wait to see what it brings me, our first child is due in about a week now and in about a month racing starts up here. I am very anxious for both.

I ran 11.79 @ 118 on the stock F-1s towards the end of last year. I was at my local track, and running in the bracket eliminator. One of my slicks was loosing air this track has no air pump, so I put the stock tires on for the next round. I was running 11.30s on the slicks, so I dialed down to an 11.60, but I just couldn't get the truck hooked enough to get that number.

I never mentioned this because personally I don't see why anyone would want to run on stock tires. Why handicapp yourself by not being able to launch at your truck's full potential? I can understand if you're just a casual racer, but for those who race competitively, and often, why run the stockers? Not bashing anyone here, I just really don't understand the thrill.

Cool

See that's what I'm talking about. They all count unless you say full weight, stock suspension intact (I have 2" shackles) and 93 octane only. To top it all off a run at Cecil's will probably give the best times because it's known as the fastest track in the country.

12.33 is a great time and the fastest I've heard of on F1's with no juice.

Along time ago I went 12.50 @109 on a chip/filter/3lb lower/ ram air kit on F1's. Since then the truck makes way to much low end to get 1.8x's on a street tire!!

I ran 11.91@116 on F1's at the end of last season.
1.86 60ft.

Bill,
I was definitly impressed when I saw 12.0's come up on the score board not once but three times.
Sence you are hitting nitrous right off the line that is quite an accomplishment on 22's

Hey Bill didn't you do the 12.0 with a broken rear carier and only turning one rear tire?

I think so and that makes it even more impresive.

I am going to be running some Hoosier Quick time Pro Slicks this year, but I plan to run a few runs on stock tires to see what it will do with my new mods. I hope to run in the 11's on stock tires with no nitrous.

Look at my sig for times on stock tires with just 3 extra lbs of boost.
