Hey Bill didn't you do the 12.0 with a broken rear carier and only turning one rear tire?
I think so and that makes it even more impresive.

Don,
Thats correct, With Jim D at the wheel, he ran my truck with only the right side tire under power to a 12.053 on the 22's. That was very impressive. With Jim tuning my truck and the few mods that he is doing to it I think it will impress a few peolple this year.
And I really don't see a difference if you are running huge amounts of boost with all the pullies or if I run a 2# lower with a 100 shot of juice. My nitrous is armed in the staging lanes and as soon as I go full throttle it is all there, right out of the hole. So if you think of it running nitrous right out of the hole wouldn't be any easier than the big pullies, would it? I don't think so.
Thanks Jim for getting me the great times last year and the even lower ones comming soon. You are the man....

Bill,
Well then -- That is quite an accomplishment - coming out of the hole with a 100 shot of nitrous, on 22" street tires and traction on only one tire - running 12.0's
Congratulations!!! I only wish I had half that amazing ability

Outrageous,
This is not a Flame, however, why not come to WFC this year? I would expect at least 60 Lightnings in Street class alone and it gives you a chance to see how your truck matches up with everyone in the "Midwest Air". Consider this a Friendly Invitation.

Totaled,
Take it however you want, I was going to leave it alone and just agree with you. But it is what it was and thats that. I am not trying to start anything but I look forward to taking out the number 1 JLP tuned customers truck this year. You have done a great job with your truck and you do deserve that respect, your truck sure does go great, keep up the great work.
See you at the track this season, we can have a tuners customer truck shoot out.

Totaled,
Thank you very much, only about a week or so left for the new baby to come, and less than a month for the racing season to start up here. I can't wait, this should be an awesome year, and I can't wait to race with all the Lightning Brothers and Sisters again. See you soon.

Wow, I'm glad to see so many people finally replying to a post about stock tires. To answer some questions the reason I run stock tires only is I'm building a Renegade Mustang and I'm not going out and spending a ton of money on wheels and slicks on my truck. I drive it to the track and run it. No bottles to turn on, slicks to change, no breaking parts. I'm impressed with the nitrous trucks, I've had nitrous on Mustangs for years, but you can't compare nitrous to pulleys because I would love to see someone run 12.0's at 112 on 22" with just a 4lb pulley, a chip, air kit of his tuners choice, and electric fan. And the tuner trucks should run killer numbers you have everything on it. They also IMPRESS me.APPLE's To APPLE's are the key here. My suspension is completly stock less sway bar (BIG DEAL) and my exhaust is stock from motor to tips. The big deal about stock tire racing is just like why people put together cars that look stockand run 8's in the 1/4.
Because its cool. It takes skill to finesse a stock radial out of the hole, every mod I've made I had to adjust my launch. And believe me I wish I could make the WFC, I would be there in a heartbeat, I've ran the same numbers at Budds Creek that I have a Cecil County so it doesn't make a difference to me but I'm getting Married 2 weeks later so it isn't happening. And I'm not out to FLAME anyone on this site, I like this site a lot and I think it gets crazy sometimes.

If it's not a big deal then hook your front sway bar up and come to Memphis to see if you can run a 12.33. It's my understanding that the swaybar can make a tenth or two difference in your 60'. Location plays a big part too. Just ask anybody that's came off of the east coast and ran somewhere else. There were a few people shocked last year when they came to St. Louis and couldn't break into the 12's like they normal run.
It's just like buying or selling a house Location, Location, Location.

You're running great times but you do have a little help.

Why is it such a big deal about the front sway bar. I ran a 3lb lower pulley, Chip, ram air and electric fan and I ran 12.50's. The sway bar is something anyone can do and I think your being very petty. Let's compare mods that you have to purchase not one's availble to everyone and free. My truck only has 6 mods, and has run more than one pass in the 12.30's and to think if I go to St. Louis and can't even break into the 12's is crazy. And as I've said plenty of times I've ran this number at MIR (Maryland International Raceway) and Cecil County Dragway (The "Fastest Track in the Country) Which is not true.
JL went a 12.20 @ 117 on F1's
PSP went a 11.79 @115 on F1's
HD went a 12.0 @ 117 on 22's
Jim@JDM went a 11.91@116 on F1's
ALl of these are kick A$$ times on a street tire. Blower or NOS out the hole power is the same!!
I cant wait to show my new times soon....
How is a Lightning on 22's or 23's going to look with a Cage & purge system coming out of a special area??

That was pretty funny at WFC last year. To make it better, everyone said I wouldn't run what I did with a 50shot and I went 12.48 that day.
One of these days I'm going to go to cecil to get my best time ever
