Question Price for 01 L

Would 27,000 - 28,000 be a good price for a 01 red L with 6,000 miles on it. It has every option, tonnoue (sp?) bed rug, everything. And would Ford still cover warrenty?

Thank's for any input

Phillip

I paid 28, 097 for a 2001 Silver w/ 6281 miles, and fiberglass tonneau cover and factory wheels chromed from a dealer

You should value this truck at about $26,000 to $27,000 without the chrome wheels and fiberglass tonneau, I think the factory option was only about $200 or even less for that cover

Try Alan at abernste1@shaw.ca
He has a Red 2001 with 4600 miles and he only wants $24500 for it. Only catch is its in Canada.

Depends on where you live. In Arizona, you'd probably never find a used '01 for anywhere near $26-$27k. You can't buy a new one for less than sticker $33k+ tax, title, etc, which would put you just under $36k "out the door". Used they seem to go for around $30k here.

As far as someone paying $29k "out the door" for a brand new one, they would have paid about $26,800 plus tax, title, etc for a $33k+ sticker???????????????????? Hmmmmmm.......

I recently bought an '01 with 5500 miles on it (bone stock( for $26,000 and i looked for about 3 months to get one anywhere near that price (in the auto trader, on these boards, etc). Most of the '01's where selling for around $28k (usually asking $28k-$29k).

My advice would be that if you could buy an '01 for around $27k (plus or minus) with under 10k miles, you got a good price, and it will hold its value better than 95% of the vehicles out there.

Hmmmmm, I certainly hope that you are not questioning my integrity Andy.

If you are smart enough to figure out the price that I "would have paid" before TTL, one would think that you would be smart enough to read my sig. and notice the x-plan info. Then using all those smarts, you'd gander over and notice that I'm in VA and you could look up the vehicle tax rate for VA. Once you finally finished all yer figuring, you'd realize that I paid the x-plan price for my 01 L...wow, amazing stuff here Andy!!!

Have a nice day

So 29125.2 would be the X Plan price, plus state taxes. Taxes in Arizona, for example, are 8%, so the "out the door" price would be $31455.22.

TheHylandr -
Listen tough guy, I certainly hope you're not questioning my intelligence.

You're correct, i wasn't able to figure out that Virginia had no sales tax and that you could get the vehicle for $29k "out the door".

OK, anyhow. Back to my original point...I think that you can find a much better deal if you are patient and look around.

Alan is the one you want to talk to. I bought mine for 24,500 out of alberta and it had 6,000 miles. It is easy to switch your truckover acctually the guy i bought it from did it all for me LOL. Shipping is another minor prob. It might be a little costly???

Just read all the posts Sorry the deal of the week has gone to Just_rights Brother
