This truck doesn't seem that heavily modded to me. I'd like to know if chambered mufflers like the Flowmasters create too much restriction in exhaust flow for any kind of boost increase. I burned up a set in less than 2000 miles. The bends in the pipes were not as good as they could have been so it may not have been just the mufflers in my case; but, I only had a chip and drop in K&N at the time also.

Any tuners interested in commenting on this issue?

ok,

where'd all your mods come from?

call up your tuner if they try to mess around with warranty crap, ask if they can make some phone calls for you.

take everything off, and you shouldn't have a problem.

i had my drop shackles on and my airbox cut, they tried to get me for the airbox, but nothing about the shackles. oh and if you know any lawyers its always good to have them make a phone call too if they mess with you.

get a print out of the warranty law (can't remember the name of it) and bring that into them if they give you any problems

uhh i'm hung over, so i hope this all makes sense.

Let's see...hammering on a truck that has an obvious, and unknown, knocking sound coming from it. Hate to say this man but if you were out ragging that thing with the sound I heard that you posted the other day than it's no surprise that it let go.

Ouch sounds like a new motor is in order. If so, you might want to start thinking about upgrading the internals with that new motor...

Good luck with Ford...

just went under the truck for a quick look. oil all over the place. i dont know where the coolant is coming from thoguh. there is some dripping from the hose clamps that go to the oil filter. so i dont know where that coolant could have come from.

Joe,

It sounds like you most definitly blew a rod!!! The coolant is coming from the coolant gallies that are all over the engine. You probably blew through that too!!!

Aren't you the one that ended up paying a lot for your L??Like 40K or something??

I feel for ya brother. I know what blowing an engine feels like....it SUCKS

Let us know what happens with Ford.....oh.....and get those mods off the truck!!

Good Luck!!

Just in case any of you havent heard it yet --> http://home.attbi.com/~j15big/f150_guys.htm

Dang that sucks. How noticable was the sound if you just stood in front of the truck with the hood closed? Was it really loud or did you just have to listen really closely?

It sounds like a Knock but it went away when you gave it gas. Usually a rod dosent do that. Sucks man, keep us informed!!
