Well maybe I am not crazy for going out in 20 degree weather to wash my truck. I took it to the quarter car wash, and as soon as i drove out of the little booth, I got out and TRIED to dry it, but it was all ice. I left it in the garage for a few days to let the ice melt. And now I am recovering from a KILLER cold!
Here we go again......that ol' canard that "cold weather and ice" cause colds. LOL

I guess you can add me to the list.

During the spring, summer and fall I try to wash it myself. Sometimes I have no choice but to drive through a car wash. When I do I try to use a all soft cloth car wash.

Hey when I went to Englishtown, I drove it through a car wash. After a 5 hour drive with all the bugs I picked up, I couldn't go to the track like that.

I hand wash mine in the summer and take it to the local car wash about once a week in the winter. I would rather take my chances with the car wash then run around with all the salt on it. Salt on a black L just does not look very good, I invite any of you to come hand wash it in the 30 degree weather so I don't have to run it thru the car wash.

I have been using this place since the first winter I owned my L, and I have not found a scratch on it anywhere from this place. I agree with allot of others here, IT IS ONLY A F150.... I even haul stuff in the bed of the truck.

I take my truck to the turtle wax by my house all the time when I really don't feel like cleaning it, which realy isn't that often seince she doesn't get that dirty, but they do a good job and I just go home and throw a coat of quick wax on her. Over the past 2.5 years I've accumulated enough scratchs to make me get the truck repainted pretty soon. I'm thinking red with a blue pearl clear coat for a different look. My body guy said it would look awesome! We'll see when I get the roll pan.

I had a BBQ at my house and choked on a piece of ice and threw up on the side of my truck. Does that count as washing?

They're not allowed in the garage but they have their own room plus access to the rest of the house and yard!
