Difference in the Lightning and Harley..
That harley isn't a concept truck. People already have orders in on them and they will be delivered in jan/feb, and it won't be marketed by svt.

Take my word for it!
IF anybody really has seen a Lightning with a Blank Front Cover it was a MAJOR mistake!
AT NO TIME was Eaton allowed to put a Blank Cover on any Ford unit EXCEPT the Harley.
It is not a concept vechile.. period.
There was not a "squabble" between Ford and Eaton. The relationship is quite good. Ford wanted the Front Cover changed... so it was changed..simple as that!
There were some shipments of Lightning units with both EATON and SVT logos.. this was just running out the stock of EATON covers.
I would love for somebody to post a pic of a blank front cover on a Lightning! (Might wanna measure that pulley if you do.)
LightningTuner.. You said you saw three? They did not come from Eaton that way. Those owners may know somebody with Eaton in either Marshall, MI or Athens, Georgia and got some extra parts for some reason. Give me the barcode off the side, and I can get that units history..even its test resluts from Eaton.
The blank snouts have to be recent because the mold is recent!

SC1, if you do a search on it, it should turn up a few past threads here on F-150 that have discussed this topic. There are people with late 00s that have blank covers. As for a picture of one, Spiro has posted the picture of his blank snout here several times.
i even posted a link to it.. try it out.
maybe "concept vehicle" is the wrong phrase for the truck.. how about "prototype"?
i'd be willing to bet some serious cash that that exact truck wont be in production..
something will be different.. it may have different pinstripes, it may come with different sized nerf bars, ect..
overall it will be like you see, but nothing at SEMA makes it into the "real world" without some changes..
(for good or bad)
this isn't supposed to be a flame.. just trying to keep everyones mind open to different ideas.

spiro states:
Not at all. The stock blower has a smaller upper pulley installed, So when I switched over to the PSP lower, I wanted to go back to stock for the upper. luckily I was able to purchase a blower for a good price from a friend with a stock pulley and blower setup, and also a 2000 L casing with no "logo" on the snout, kinda rare...and cool. Rather than going through all the trouble of pressing the pulley on and off.....again, I simply swapped blowers As ppictured below.
The OEM blower still works fine, and I had no problems with it, in fact its for sale here in our classified section of F150 online.

now before you say "no, he swapped it out!" spiro states that it came off a 2000 lightning.

Sticker
Yes it is the sticker on the Bearing Plate...
And, to my point, It did not come from Ford with that blower.
It was SUPPOSED to be off a Lightning...yeah right...
I am sure it came from MI or GA.
Anyway, its just a logo. Lets talk about something else.
If you want to post your Barcode I will get you the info one that blower from the Test Stand...
Just trying to help and offer some info.. (Facts not opinions or he said she said stuff.)
Hey TampaSVT and ******, I cant simply give info to anybody.. from now on I will give relay info to guys and you post what you want.....
I am done...

SC1, don't take us the wrong way. We're glad you're here and we're not trying to argue with you, but there WERE trucks that came from Ford with the blank snout. The blower with the blank snout that Spiro put on his truck (he and I installed it), came off of our friend George's 2000 Lightning. George had his motor replaced for the lower end knock with a new 01 motor, and he traded his stock 00 blower for Spiros 99 blower and some other stuff.
6mm = 0.0236220"
Stock pulley is basically 2.93"
This means at 5200 the HD's s/c will be spinning approx. 100 rpms slower than the L's.

clonetek, the 2002 harley at the sema show wasn't a concept nor a prototype. That IS the production truck for 2002. no changes. the 2000 harley came off with out changes, so did the 2001 harley. The 2002 is just an update 2001 with minor changes, and the one at the sema show IS how it will be. The nurf bars aren't going to change. that would be freaking stupid being that they are the same exact ones as last year. and the pinstripes will be like that too, willie g designed those. I guess you didn't realize that there are already two model years of harleys out there, and the 2002 will be out soon and 2003 in a year.
Me personally, i'm mad that they are coming out with a s/c HD. It pisses me off. Its not suppose to be like that, I cant explain why, just my view on things. Its unfair that they just go ahead and put a s/c in the HD. Its making me feel like a s/c is going to be on everything now or something. I cant explain how i feel about it but it makes me mad, i dont want them to s/c at all, we are so special anymore
Harley#356: i guess you didnt understand what i was saying.. i didn't say that the nerf bars were gonna change.. i said that things might change..
i know there are 00's and 01's out there, you've seen pics of my truck next to my friends 00 HD in the harley forum. the HD trucks just seem to get longer and longer every year.. lol

oh, BTW.. here is a pic from the 2000 sema show..
looks like different rims and no pinstripe.. odd huh?
(i know it isnt from the ford booth, but it is at SEMA.)
i like the new dark grey color..

i agree
i must agree will clonetek
he has well over 1000 more post than harley#356 and plus i have been to 3 sema shows in the past and almost all the vehicles there are prototypes.
After the show the vehicles still undergo changes. They have not put it into production yet therefore it is not considered a marketed vehicle.
yeah they already have the harleys out there. any idiot knows that but its just like the lightnings.
when they came out there was a concept at the sema show.
it underwent a few computer changes and thats about it.
But still you cant just say "well hey its just an f150 with a body kit and s/c.
They had to mass produce it. well only 4000 or so but still its the same with the harleys.
its a harley with an s/c.
therefore it is different.
