You sir are still my favorite member of F150Online. You saved me THOUSANDS on both my 02 Lightning, 03 Cobra, and 03 Lightning, along with a few other Ford cars I purchased.

Unfortunately, I no longer own an SVT but have been keeping my eye out for another Cobra. I miss that 6spd with all the power.....

Hope everyone is doing alright! Take care.

Great plant.... Thanks Suavy- you guys built my Ford GT engine (05 #1830). Now pushing over 750+ RWHP/ RWTQ with a 3.4L Whipple. 0-60 under 3 sec. Thanks for the cannon rush of an engine!

Is the Skyway ever free of gravel? When I was there last, with the bikes, it was bad enough that we turned around within 5 miles.......

Hey! Old timer checking in! My hubby and I bought a beautiful home just south of Jacksonville last year. Our daughter is 17 months old and loves racing already! She's been to Daytona, Gainesville, World Street Nats., we are going to be in "trouble" when she grows up LOL. Hubby bought me a new Mustang and I am pondering an addition of boost soon...

Got to noshing and we were talking about various SVT and other HiPo Ford vehicles and it turns out they have 5 (FIVE) Shelby GT 500s on the lot and no takers.

Off the top, he said they were up for grabs for dealer cost, but " a deal could be made".

I sent him an email an hour ago asking him to quote a range of leasing options and am waiting to hear back.

As I said to him, this is a totally irrational thought process to pursue but I have wanted a Shelby Cobra since they were first introduced many, many years ago. I never could justify one, in part because, as this guy said, they were getting $20K over list a year ago, and I never pay more than list and usually, a lot below posted dealer cost.

If I can steal one, I think I may do it. What the Hell, you only live once, I have wanted one since the 1960's and I will be 69 years old on the 18th of this month.

Now, I have to just convince Pat I have earned this prize. She was willing to go along with leasing/buying the Transit but doing the same with a Shelby Cobra is going to be a reach.

Bill
Bill - sorry for the late response. I bought my 09 GT500 about six months ago, I paid waaay under the original MSRP; heck they had six 08's collecting dust when their first 09 showed up so it was easy to get them to deal.

Red with black stripes and the 1000 radio option. The modding has begun, I installed a new pulley, CAI and tune from JLT plus a Borla axle-back. It is one sweet ride! A little tough to launch, but once you get into second gear - hang on!

Good luck; I hope you work a sweet deal on one, you will not be disappointed.
