Question Paging Sixpipes - Borla Tips

Sixpipes - In the thread below you posted a picture of exhaust tips. When you say slash cut do you mean angle cut? Also, on the size the nearest thing I find listed by Borla is 2-7/8" x 3-3/8" x 9". Is that what you used?
Thanks for any help on this.

also ask him how he put them on, I stopped by Midas, they said they might not be able to install tips since there is a bend so close to the exit. Can we get some pic's of sixpipes exhaust from underneath so we can see exactly what he did. That would be a great help!

Yoda,

When I was over at his house looking at them, he picked up his old tips, and showed them to me. It appears that the new ones just bolted in place. I seem to remember the ones he took off were about 2 foot long, and had been bolted in place with a muffler clamp.

I think Sixpipes is on his Valkyre (sp) --- that's where he got the handle -- something about a tour of Texas

Cool

******

Borla part #BOR-20116 (Summit catalog).
Square 2.5" diameter w/45 degree cut

I had the installer use the stock hangers, but they must be welded. I take some pictures from underneath this weekend when i get a chance.

For the record, 562 miles from Fort Davis to Little Elm yesterday in some pretty nasty wind, but fun, fun, fun!

Sixpipes - Thanks for the info. Those are the ones that I had but I thought the looked a little small compared to the 3" round tips I have in there now, so I sent them back. I decided to have a look at the next bigger size.

Glad to hear you had a good time. I thought maybe you were down here fishing in the tournament with Flatsman.

Quick question, if I wanted to buy some tips would I get the 2.5 inch diameter inlet for direct bolt on? Anyone know how long they need to be?

Thanks,
Adam
